School was stupid, well that’s what any kid would say about school, but for Auden she found it more than stupid. Auden thought that School was tedious, pointless, useless, well she could go on but then she’d be listing adjectives all day. So with Auden’s perspective of school in mind it wouldn’t be all to shocking to find her in the Forbidden Forest lounging against an old thick tree with her bag filled with butter beer and a single bottle of fire whisky. Most people were afraid of the Forbidden Forest, they thought that everything in there was dangerous, but if you knew the right spots you’d be able to avoid all the vicious creatures and only find something as harmless as a butterfly. So Auden was pretty confident that nobody would stumble upon her unless it was one of her several Slytherin friends that actually showed her this spot.
Right now Auden was supposed to be in Defense Against the Dark Arts, but she skipped out on it after her Potions class, that would be why she was still in her uniform, well her modified version. Well maybe ditching class wasn’t the only reason Auden was hiding out in the forest, but that was the original idea. Auden had already planned on going out to the forest because she hated Defense Against the Dark Arts, unlike most of her fellow Gryffindors. Oh yeah, Auden is a Gryffindor, shocking because almost every single one of them love DADA while Auden was the odd one out. She used to fit in with all her Gryffindors but now she is the black sheep of the bunch who seriously wishes she would be allowed to switch houses, no matter how much her old friends would object to this. All of Auden’s old Gryffindor friend’s thought she could change back to being a muggle loving idiot, but Auden wasn’t going to change and was totally fine with the group of people she hung out with now.
Now the real reason Auden was chilling underneath the tree, besides skipping class, was actually pretty complicated. What started it was actually getting caught raiding the butter beer from the kitchen by one of the Professors. Then after running for her life she had to end up hexing a bunch of first year Ravenclaws out of the way because they were all jumbled around the corridors looking at something. The little Ravenclaws ended up stuck against a wall and Auden kept running with the teacher left behind trying to decide if they should help the first years or go catch her. Auden kept running until she was outside and before looking into the forest she looked around to check and see if she was still being chased. There was no one in sight so she happily slowed her pace and walked lazily into the forest.
Auden was glad that she was finally in the forest in her usual spot where she lounged when she skipped classes, but the fact that she was chased by a teacher made her mad. The fact that she was mad contributed to the fact that her dark brown hair had turned into a deep shade of red because of the fact that she is metamorphmagous. Sighing Auden ran her fingers through her now deep red hair and wished that she could have better control of her emotions and the response of her appearance changes to them. Looking at her reflection in an empty butter beer bottle Auden noticed that her hair was still deep red and her eyes were a similar shade. Great she looked like a ruddy demon right now.
Unsuccessfully trying to change her appearance back to look humanlike Auden heard the snap of a twig breaking underneath a foot. ”Damn it,” Auden mumbled straightening her sitting posture from her slouching position on the tree and pushing the empty butter beer bottles back in her bag that still held a few more bottles and the fire whisky she was saving for last. Auden was thinking that it was that Professor finally catching up to her, so she was trying to look as innocent as possible. The line of thought that Auden was following was that maybe the Professor would think that she wasn’t the same person because of her new color hair and the fact that no bottles were visible. Though she would still get a detention for being in the forest it wouldn’t be as bad for being caught for two crimes. So Auden tried to look as innocent as possible as she heard the thud of foot steps coming closer.

In an attempt to actually gain something from her time in the plush Hogwarts castle, and in another attempt to show her new Head of House she was a good girl; Remy had actually got up at eight am, with the majority of the rest of the student body, and attended classes. And it hadn't been too painful so far. Potions with Mr Sex-on-legs had gone well, as in the sense she knew he so wanted her after she 'accidentally' had to spill something to get him to help her with the potion. The other girls in the class had practically been gawping, and the guys had all looked away as if they weren't bothered a teacher was practically manhandling one of his students.
Such had been fun, and the others had been okay. Remy- who hadn't attended Charms in months- learned she was actually quite good at it, and had flirted a little with new guys in her NEWT class. Aside from the homework she now had- she'd enjoyed most of her unofficial first day back- but now she had to attend Defence Against the Dark Arts, the only mandatory class at NEWT level.
That was where she decided enough was enough. Remy- stubborn as always- put her foot down, one after the other, and walked straight out of the front door, making as if she was heading for Herbology or Care of Magical Creatures (both subjects she despised). However, as soon as she got around the hut of the oaf groundskeeper she looked back warily, and teetered towards the Forbidden Forest. Forbidden was such an overused word- the forest wasn't that dangerous, and it would have been nice to set a few trees on fire once in a while. The creatures here didn't like her- she knew that- but little did Remy care. Many people didn't like her, but they barely caused her two seconds thought. Such was Slytherin arrogance and Veela looks.
Entering the forest, Remy looked back one more time. The castle looked deserted- all good students would be in class by now and all teachers teaching classes or lounging in the staffroom. She smirked, and took flight (okay, not so literally) into the dark curtain. As she walked cracks of light appeared in the sky, blocked and intensified by the towering evergreen trees. Even in the semi-darkness Remy could find her way to the usual Slytherin plotting-hangout within the forest, even though they usually took the path by moonlight, fire and 'lumos' spells. Several times she tripped over fallen trees or rebel roots of huge oaks and spruces, and caught herself on her hands ust as she hit the ground. After falling a third time she could feel her toes hurting- exposed to the bare ground by her peep toe shoes- and looked down to see them bleeding. Her feet too, were freezing, as in the forest the temperature was at most minus four degrees celcius, and she was glad for the camisole, cardigan and thick coat with her school skirt. The shirt didn't really play a part- it was completely open with her camisole showing underneath it, another part of the seduction game, but it was uniform apparently.
The walk to their secret spot took her the best part of forty minutes- it was located deep in the forest away from prying eyes- and as it came into sight she saw the cauldron tucked out of sight of the clearing. It was part of the undergrowth, and invisible to anyone who didn't know it was there. Only dragged out at special meetings. Ignoring it, knowing their next - and final - meeting was only a few days away, Remy continued on to the clearing where trees shadowed but cast enough light through the trees to see. Dropping her bag, Remy considered which of the trees to climb in the circle. Logs lay in the center providing a meeting place for their gang, but she ignored them- as everyone else would too. She had picked the sturdy looking oak tree to her immediate left before she became distracted by a quiet mumble in the trees- something that sounded like 'damn it!'. Usually Remy's hearing wasn't as good as it could be, but being in a silent place of dark and secret importance made it essential for her to hear everything.
Fumbling for her wand in her jacket, Remy held it with a fierce, but anxious expression. No one could find out about this spot, if someone was here then she would have to kill them. Kill them.. repeated in her head as she turned and walked slowly towards the tree where the voice came from. Without scanning properly, Remy found a shadowy figure in the trees, brushing aside one of the larger yet brittle branches hiding the figure. Opening her mouth to whisper the curse, her wand aimed at the figure, it was only the last second Remy realised that perhaps she wouldn't want to kill this person.
Her hair colour was different, and her eyes a glowing red, but it was definitely Auden- the only Gryffindor Remy would even think about being civil to. A look of puzzled relief crossed her face, taking in the view of one of her closest, and most secretive friends. Her wand was down in a flash- Aud was one of the only people she didn't mind being here- and a sheeping smirk crossed her face. "Shit Aud, don't creep about like that! You scared the hell out of me!" she whispered, climbing clumsily onto the same branch by digging the heels of her shoes into the thick trunk. Once up, Remy's expression changed to one of bemused puzzlement, and a little smirky humour. "You know, your face doesn't really suited to that whole innocent. Especially with DEMON FEATURES!" The last part was louder, and it echoed round the clearing. The harshness of it surprised Remy, and she jumped a little, the palm of her hand slapping to her open mouth as if to stop the noise.

Even though Auden was pretty sure that no one else knew about this spot other than her close group of friends, she wasn’t going to take a chance and let anyone else find out about this spot. With her wand in hand Auden was totally ready to take on anyone who entered the forest, even if it was that stupid Professor that was following her, hell Auden didn’t even know who that teacher was. Maybe if Auden went to classes more often she would know who the teachers are but Auden didn’t bother going to many classes anymore, especially with the big dance coming up other things were of higher priority to her right now.
The place that Auden was hanging out was a sort of secret. It was a place that only few people knew about because it was deep into the forest in a small clearing type area. Nobody bothered going into the forest so the small circle of people that Auden met with in this area were pretty much safe from detection. So if somebody was about to stumble upon this secret hiding spot Auden was going to have to do something about it. Though Auden was a Gryffindor, she didn’t have a problem with what would have to be done; she’d have to kill them. Well maybe Auden had a small feeling in the back of her head that told her that it was wrong, that she shouldn’t kill someone, but the feeling was so small that Auden could easily shove it aside.
The old Auden, the one that was a true Gryffindor would have been appalled at the mere thought of killing someone, but now Auden was different the cause was worth it. The cause of spreading the virus was worth one life when the virus was going to get rid of so many stupid, mindless muggles. Like school Auden hated muggles and had many horrible adjectives to describe them. In Auden’s point of view muggles were worthless and anybody with association to them shouldn’t be allowed magic. Those views weren’t always what Auden thought, if those stupid muggles hadn’t killed Auden’s parents then Auden would probably be in Defense Against the Dark Arts right now having fun with all of her little Gryffindor friends.
When the steps got closer Auden was fully prepared to do what was necessary, but luckily she didn’t have to kill anyone today. The person that came through the forest wasn’t some professor or a stupid student that thought it would be cool to run around the forest. It was Remy, thank god, who was part of the group that met here frequently. Remy was one of Auden’s Slytherin friends, one of the friends that some people called a “bad influence.” Auden didn’t see how Remy was a bad influence, sure Remy was known for things that were considered “bad” but Auden just saw it as Remy being independent, and knowing what she wanted. The old Auden would have hated Remy’s guts but the new Auden was a lot like Remy.
”Hell Remy you were the one creepin! I was just bumming out here and then you come out of no where!” Auden said in a whisper back to Remy. Though it probably sounded like Auden was annoyed, Remy of all people should know that Auden was just kidding around and relieved that it was Remy that came through the darkness of the forest and not some snoop. ”Shut up!” Auden hushed while trying to hold back laughter at Remy’s reaction to her loud voice. ”You know I can’t help it.” Auden added and tried hard to turn her eyes and hair back to a natural color. Hoping that her hair was the dark shade she wanted with a few red streaks and her eyes were at least brown or black or something normal. ”Normal?” Auden asked motioning to her previously fiendish appearance.
Pulling her bag onto her lap Auden rummaged around in her bag through the empty bottles and pulled out two butter beers. Without saying anything Auden tossed one at Remy and then opened her own with ease. ”So you’re skipping Defense Against the Dark Arts too?” Auden asked, kind of pointlessly because the two were in the same class. ”Or is there a meeting that I didn’t get the memo on?” Auden added because it wasn’t unusual for her to miss a meeting because of lack of notice. Usually it was harder to let Auden know about a spur of the moment meeting because she was in Gryffindor and the majority of the group was Slytherin. So it was harder to let Auden know about things when she was cooped up in her dorm or sitting away from the hustle in the common room.

Insults and hurtful comments were part of a Slytherins signature style, so when, in the last year or so, Auden had started to be sarky to Remy and the other cool Slytherins, they didn't really mind. This improvement had shown she was ready to be more widely accepted as one of them- one of the few who would change the school (and possibly the world) for the better, so Remy didn't take it personally. She had, after all, just called her friend a demon. It was acutely bizarre to find your friend looking completely different to the way you left them just yesterday, but Remy supposed that was just living with a metamorphagus. She hoped that when she had to exercise her powers (not that she'd done it in a long while) she didn't turn into some freak like the ones advertised in muggle films.
Remy watched as Auden concentrated on turning her features back to normal. This was yet another bizarre thing to watch, but soon the shock of red hair turned black, then dark brown, with some red streaks appearing through it. Her eyes turned dark- too dark for a normal human like Remy to even fathom- the advantages of freaking people out by being a metamorphagus. Remy half giggled, half smirked as she balanced herself further on the branch, carefully unfastening her shoes. She knew she couldn't afford to fall off this high up in the tree- and she knew that she probably would, being the relatively clumsy girl she was. After both shoes were unhooked she hooked them goether and balanced them on a small branch hanging just up to her left, before leaning forward to grab the thrown butterbeer.
She opened it on a particuarily stiff branch of the tree and took a large swig of the buttery liquid, even just out of the bottle magically warming her up. A lazy smile graced her face and the buzz that came with breaking the rules swept over her. For some reason, her big exploits didn't give her that feeling, but skipping class did. "Oui, as normal as you can get," she smirked, glancing at her friend's hair again and rolling her eyes. "You're so damned lucky! You can change your hair any time you please!" she giggled, looking upwards as she sighed and heard the next question.
"Oui aussi, ma cherie, I was in potions with the yummy teacher- he's our new Head of House- but I really cannot be bothered with that ridiculous class. None of it will help them now anyway." In half seriousness, Remy joked. And Auden would know exactly what she was referring to. The virus was almost ready- one more meeting in a couple of nights would be called and then it would be released at the dance. Their biggest triumph. It would rid the school of undesirables, and the whole world unless it was contained. A perfect world where the purebloods would rule- and the group of four would be seen as saviors and champions.
"No meeting today; or now anyway." she broke off, another swig of the golden, swirling, mixture. "One tomorrow, but at three am. The dance is two days away, it's the final preparation." This she said with grim satisfaction, as she shimmied in her coat for her muggle cigarettes and lighter. The drugs and clothes of muggles were the only thing Remy could stand- only the best parts of their world- and she knew that for the most part Aud agreed. The Slytherin boys in their circle may have distained even the male fashions, but the girls knew that wizarding gear was mostly unflattering.
Her fingers freezing, Remy eventually managed to light a cigarette in her lips. The cigarette suspended in her lips until she managed to put the lighter away, she eventually breathed in the smoke, irritating her lungs but feeling good. Remy wasn't a habitual smoker, and wizarding magic had cures for everything, so it wasn't like she was doing any real harm to herself.
