Albus shows a great resemblance to his father, Harry, with hardly any influence from his mother, Ginny. With messy black hair to his father (and grandmother's) almond shaped green eyes, he almost looked exactly like his father had when he was his age. The only difference was that he picked up his redheaded mother's ivory skin tone. He was made fun of when he was younger by his peers and James, claiming that he spent too much time behind a book to pick up any sunlight. However, that couldn't have been further from the truth. He enjoyed to play Chaser when he occasionally played Quidditch with his friends and brother, and also practised the fair amount on his own. It just didn't matter how often he tried to add some colour to his skin, it just didn't happen. His sister also remarked once about how his skin was almost the exact shade as Malfoy's... which wasn't something he wanted to hear. Anything throwing him back to Slytherins made him a little uneasy, even if his father had claimed that his middle name was the same name as a Slytherin Headmaster.
Albus also isn't the tallest bloke around standing at five foot ten. He stood almost the exact same height as his father, and was pleased that at least he could look down on his mother. He was also a touch lanky, which could have come from his Uncle Ron. He never really put the effort in to work out and try to fill out, for he always hoped it would happen on his own, or the little amount of Quidditch that he did play would come in handy. The one thing that he was proud of was that his genes seemed to allow him a little bit of muscle, that gave him a defined look. No, he wouldn't be able to pose for a skin magazine, but it was still a least a bit pleasing to look at.
His hair was always a disaster. It didn't matter how many times he ran a comb or brush through it, it never sat flat. The only other thing he didn't get from his father was glasses. Albus had perfect vision, but it also allowed people to see his eyes much quicker. Albus always got complimented on his vibrant green eyes, and certain people who saw his father as a hero always doted upon him for the eyes that only him out of his three siblings got.
Albus also likes to dress normally, usually with button up shirts and loose fit jeans. He enjoyed looking put together without looking like he was trying too hard. In other words, he liked to blend in. He dressed just like most guys did, and sometimes less spectacularly on purpose. Hooded zip up sweaters were also a favourite item in his wardrobe, particularly dark green or maroon ones, for those were the ones in which girls seemed to compliment him the most in. Apparently the dark green ones 'brought out his eyes' and the maroon one? He didn't know why they liked him in that one, but he liked it himself.

Albus Severus Potter was not the first offspring of the legendary Harry Potter and his wife, Ginny, but for that, he was almost grateful. He didn't want that sort of attention. His birth, however, was quite close to his father's, and apparently many had wondered if Harry's second son would be born on the same day as himself. However, it wasn't meant to be, and he was born on August 21. He was seen as the baby of the family for two whole years, and was spoiled rotten for it. Unfortunately, his older brother seemed to have a mischievious streak about him, and somehow he always ended up in places that no baby would be able to get without help. Even in those early days, he bonded with his father well, and would cry whenever his dad went off to work.
When his sister, Lily, was born, Albus was ecstatic. Unlike most two year olds, he didn't feel jealous at all the attention his new sibling was getting. Besides, neither Albus or James were ever really neglected... they had such a large extended family that they always had someone or another doting upon them. But Albus took an instant love to his little sister, and tried to help in all ways possible to raise her.
When Albus turned six, it was evident that he had inherited his mother's rather strong magical range. Where most six year olds were able to make things levitate by accident, Albus was able to make small things explode or combust into flames. The first time this happened, he was beyond frightened at what he had done, and had spent a lot of time being quiet and alone after that, afraid that he might set another family memeber on fire. His parents never hid from him what he did was magic, but they did worry. Albus tried his best not to do magic as he grew older, but when one of his siblings or cousins teased him, he would become overwhelmingly frustrated and would end up accidentally overturning a piece of furniture.
So, instead of going out as much as his brother, he spent his time reading and trying to keep to himself. He was far from anti-social and loved hanging out with his family members, but at the same time he didn't want to hurt them. Since the age of nine he kept a countdown until he knew he'd be going to Hogwarts. He was excited to be able to learn how to harness his powers properly, and he ached to be able to hang out with friends without the worry of doing something he didn't mean to do. He was sort of quiet, and thoughtful. He was always thinking, and occasionally over thinking things.
When he was ten, his father finally told him about why people always stared at them when they went out of the house. Albus had always been curious, but had never asked. When he found out, he was completely fascinated about it. Nothing changed about the way he thought of his father... in his eyes, his father had always been a hero to him. As time went on, he asked small things about his father, such as his school life, and how he and his mum met, and how he proposed. He was just completely intent on learning as much about his father's life as possible.
Finally, Albus got his letter accepting him into Hogwarts. He was very nervous. What would people think of him? Would he be able to measure up to his brother? What did people really think of his family? Would he be sent into Slytherin? His father had tried to calm his nerves by telling him that the bravest man Harry had known had been Slytherin, and that all in all, Albus had the final choice and that the Sorting Hat had actually considered putting Harry into Slytherin. He was rather in shock that his father, his father, almost got put into Slytherin. When he went up to the Sorting Hat, however, he told it he didn't want to be in Slytherin, and ultimately got put into Gryffindor.
Over the next many years, his personality didn't change much. He didn't hang out with his brother often, for their personalities were quite different. He occasionally hung out with his sister when she finally arrived, but other than that, he made his own friends. He never actually tried out for the Quidditch team, much to the disappointment of many. He wanted to be a Chaser, and was quite good at it, but he didn't want to feel as if he was taking something that was evidently more important to his brother. Instead, he occasionally helped with practises and try-outs, and played with his friends every now and then. He just didn't really want to have to get up there and perform in front of the whole school.
His grades throughout Hogwarts were always quite steady. He wasn't top of his class, excluding Defense Against the Dark Arts, where he did exceptionally well. He became his own person, and tried to separate himself from his last name. He didn't want to be judged on that alone. Yes, he was proud of being a Potter, but he didn't want people thinking that he was necessarily what his father was, and then let people down.
Now going into his sixth year, he was getting rather sad at the concept that Hogwarts was just about over for him.

Albus woke in the middle of the night, covered in a cold sweat. He looked out the window to see a full moon. This always happened to him, and he didn't know why. He almost felt like in a past life he was a werewolf or something. Why else would the full moon always wake him? The dream he was having nearly immediately began to slip from his mind. He never remembered what he was dreaming about when this happened, and it always disappointed him. Looking around his dormitory, he noticed all the other boys were still soundly sleeping. There was one boy who was snoring softly, but nothing too disrupting.
Albus climbed out of bed, and the floors were cold on his feet. He moved across the room quietly, hoping to wake no one. He climbed down the flight of stairs. His only source of light were the always burning candle lining the way. When he entered the common room, he wasn't surprised to find it empty. He knew he should be in bed, and that he would regret not being so. Albus knew he'd be exhausted the next day, but he felt like it was of utmost importance to let his father know that it happened once again. His father always claimed it was coincidence, but Albus wasn't convinced. He sat a table next to a window, and grabbed a discarded quill and piece of parchment and started to write. When he was finished, he folded the note and then went back to the staircase, determined to send the note in the morning.
However, when he got to the staircase, someone bumped right into him. Looking at who he ran into, a smile formed on his face. It was his cousin, Rose. She looked just as surprised to see him, but returned the smile nonetheless.
"Rose, what are you doing up?" he looked down at her hand, and saw there, too, was a rolled up piece of parchment. He felt like he should laugh. "Full moon keeping you up, as well?"
