Liz sat in one of the couches in the common room, a small glowing orb of twinkling lights floating around in front of her, near the floor. The orb moved from left to right, and dipped down closer to the floor, and Liz smiled as she saw a flurry of fur, as her cat tried to catch the orb. With a movement of her hand, she got the little figment to fly around along the floor, weaving around tables and chairs, the overweight cat in pursuit. Not having classes that do, Liz found herself pressed to find something to do, so for the moment, she got her cat to exercise a bit.
After a while she dismissed the sphere of shifting shades and hues, and the cat looked up at her with a soft 'meow.' She got up out of the chair and picked up the cat, heading out of the dorm. She smiled as she carried the height of her feline companion, heading down stairs to the first floor, and out onto the grounds, into the sunlight. She shaded her eyes for a bit, before pulling the hood on her sweatshirt up over her eyes, as she let Kidden down rewarded with another 'meow' as the cat flopped onto his side in the grass, in the warming sunlight.
She conjured up more figments, in simple shapes that slightly resembled pixies, but more hazy light than definitive form, and sent them running and floating along the surface of the grass. the cat spotted them and immediately started chasing them, pouncing one and then darting to catch another. Liz smiled as she watched the cat, warmed by the sunlight on her back, as she ran her hands along the sides of her legs, pulling them up to her chest.

A light amount of snoring came from the Ravenclaw boys dormitory as a heap of blankets began moving slightly, the snoring getting somewhat louder as the face of one of the boys was revealed to the dormitory, his unruly head of hair sticking in different directions. Even though it was about mid-day now, a small handful of students remained in the dorm, slumbering lightly as the sun shined brightly into the windows of the dorm, bits of light reflecting towards the floor. On the floor bits of clothing were scattered. The boys dorm was never close to being clean, but some did their best to keep their clothes off the floor, even if to keep their housemates from tripping and falling. A large black fluff of cat lay next to the snoring covers, ears flicking to the sounds that her master made. Another noise joined the chorus of snores, a loud purr that resenated through the covers and began massaging his stomach. Both feline and master were knocked out cold, the dorm mates sound asleep. It was just then a loud bang erupted from the other side of the dormitory, the door looking as though it was being pushed in. The door swang open, revealing the retreating robes of no doubt a Ravenclaw female that got a jolly out of waking up their fellows students when they were trying to sleep. The cat looked up, growling slightly as her master stirred under the covers, the least affected by the abrupt noise. The pile of covers eventually were peeled away to reveal a very disgruntled, yet handsome, student to the world. He grumbled, obviously annoyed. By this time the dorm was awakened, its inhabitants grouchily getting out of bed. Apparently girls had a knack for not letting the men of the house sleep, this being the second time this happened within a week. The cat purred affectionately as she came beneath her master's chin, rubbing her back along its length, her tail sliding under his chin, sending a shiver up her master's spine. Her master smiled gently, picking her up and placing her on the ground as he reached for a ball with a bell inside of it, tossing it along the length of the wooden floor, watching as she chased after it.
Seeing as how he wasn't going to get anymore sleep this day, Damien pushed his covers away and made to get out of bed when the cat he called Jessie ran under his feet, the ball held firmly in her mouth. Despite having a ball in her mouth, she looked up at him and gave him a meow that could be translated to her hunger. Smiling at the black slender fluff ball, Damien pulled some food down from the top shelf above his bed and shook some into her bowl, watching as the greatful cat began eating. With a wave of his wand after getting it from his bedside table, he conjured some more water for her, watching as it filled to the brim. Satisfied with his cat's needs, he walked over to the dresser, proceeding to get dressed just like he had everyday for the past few years. It was a school day, but for him he had no classes besides the ones in the morning, which he had been up for and had gone to them. A small pile of homework rest on his bed side table, most of it already completed. He had been exceptionally bored in Charms and completed most of his assignments, save for a Potions essay that needed his attention very soon because Potions was just two days away. After getting dressed in a simple pair of dark blue jeans, a white muscle shirt, socks, boxers, and a black denim jacket to finish off his attire, he grabbed his wand and began heading out the door, but not before casting a water charm on one of his sleeping companions. Smiling mischeviously, he walked out the door before his friend could have any recollection of what had happened to him, let alone who did it.
Damien came down the stairs, hands shoved in his pockets as he looked around to see a vacant commonroom staring back at him. Sighing to hismelf, he made the decision to go outside because it was a nice day outside from what he could see through the windows. The pitch looked the most inviting, but deciding against it, he instead made his way to the entrance of the castle, walking passed it and down the hallway until he reached the entrance of the courtyard. He shied slightly as the sun hit his face, putting up a hand to block the light from entering his eyes. When he got to a shady place, he took notice of a girl playing with her cat, watching as the figments of light went back and forth, the cat desperately trying to catch each one. He walked over to the girl, clearing his throat once to get her attention, his eyes traveling from the cat to the young face of the girl. He had never really gotten up the words to ask her first name, but nearly all of his house he knew the last names, as was customary for him. "Hey Seaton, playing with your cat today I see?" He said, leaning against one of the courtyard pillars as his eyes danced back over to the cat.

The cat pounced and rolled as he barely missed another faintly pixie shapes flash of dazzling red and yellow hues. As Damien spoke, the cat’s ear perked up as he rolled back onto his belly, dismissing the flittering half formed figments, and turning to stare at the boy. Elizabetha smiled softly, as she lowered her wand, the illusionary creatures winking out, one by one, each with a small shower of glittery sparks, much like fireworks, but without the smoke, or companying bang. Kidden dutifully stood, shaking some of the freshly cut grass free of his fluffy fur, and walked back over to her as she slid her legs to the ground, curling up in her lap with a soft thud as she sat with her legs at her side. He looked up to Damien with a look of arrogance as he started purring, as if to say ‘Be jealous, be very jealous“, Elizabetha’s fingers lightly scratching behind his ears. She brushed a hand up along the side of her head, pushing her hood back away from her face, before she turned to look up at him. “Good afternoon, uh… Damien, right?” She spoke, her voice a little shy, as she looked at him, towering over her even from a distance.
She scratched Kidden for a while, before pushing the hefty tomcat of her lap, and stood up. She turned to Damien and tilted her head to the side. “Did you just wake up or something,” she asked, as she saw him, the look of sleep still in his eyes. She shrugged as she walked over to him, sliding her hand into her sleeve, into a small sheath of canvas across the inside of her arm. Almost at once, the fat furbal imposed himself between the two of them, while affectionately rubbing against Elizabetha’s ankles, pushing the tops of her socks down to her shoes. She smoothed out her skirt as she looks him over, and then turned to look of at nothing in particular. She wasn’t used to socializing with students from the other houses, since they tended to have different priorities then those of Gryffindor, but always talking to the same people day in and day out lead to predictable turns of conversation and worn out quips and jokes. Her eyes drift up to the sky, watching a lazy cloud slowly pass overhead, before she realized she was failing to be polite and continue the conversation.
She turned back to him with a friendly smile on her face, and reached down to pick up the cat, lifting the bulky feline up into her arms, against her chest. “So, what brings you out to the fields,” she asked, as she scratched the cat some more, Kidden giving Damien another arrogant look, before giving him a deep, unfriendly ‘meow.’ She looked down at the cat in her arms, and swatted him lightly on the head, getting a surprised look from him in return. “Hush, and be nice.” She turned her attention back to Damien, and smiled again. “Sorry, he’s a bit territorial,” she spoke with a soft sigh, “he’s slow to get used to other people. This is Kidden.” She smiles as Kidden looks back to him, “he’s actually a friendly furball once he gets to know you.”

For a few moments, Damien was lost in thought as he studied the fat fuzz-ball known as Kidden, his eyes glinting with a hint of mischief, watching the eyes of the cat. When he watched the cat crawl into his master's lap and look back at him, the ravenclaw couldn't help but smile. The round fluff ball was like his own ball of fluff who at the time being was safely back at the ravenclaw boys dormitory where she was no doubt fast asleep under thick bedding. Damien watched the two for a few moments before concentrating on the girl alone, listening as she had gotten his name right. Not many people knew his name outside of his house because he wasn't really popular and didn't do anything rash to make himself known throughout the castle. He would leave that to the Gryffindors and Slytherins who seemed more likely to cause mayhem than a lowly Ravenclaw like him. He noticed that the girl was looking at the clouds over head. The last few days it looked like it was going to rain, but no such luck. For the moment it just looked like that the clouds would provide an ample amount of shade, which would be welcome on any bright shining day. Damien was quite used to the shade around the castle, it was better to be hidden when it was shady out. The ravenclaw wasn't one to be noticed, and liked keeping himself hidden. But for the time being it was okay to be noticed by the world, even if the world was to busy to take notice of him, he had taken notice of the world, watching from a far as students soared through the sky on their brooms, practicing quidditch. Damien didn't play quidditch in school, but he had played at his home with his family. He always looked forward to the monthly games. Normally there was just enough players for one to guard one hoop and about four others to play the role of the chasers. Some had said Damien wouldn't play quidditch in school because he was afraid of getting bludgeoned to death by a bludger, but the real reason he wouldn't play for his house was because he didn't want the fame that went along with being part of the quidditch team. Others would say he was afraid of flying, but his housemates knew better than to call him afraid of the air.
At this time Damien brought back his thoughts to the moment, looking at the cat, contemplating on petting him. But he decided against it. Rarely would a strange feline allow him to pet the animal, and he decided it would be in the best interest of the flesh of his hands to not pet the cat, as he was wary of the claws. Damien instead decided to watch the cat, then turn back to look at his master, watching her lips as she spoke. She looked as though she had soft lips, not like those of a woman that had been kissed alot. He had kissed lips like that before, and it was quite the interesting experience, and not something he would do again. He put on the most simpliest smiles he could muster, pressing his back against the pillar and scratching it slightly. The robes they were given were quite uncomfortable sometimes. After taking a moment to brush cat hair off his robes, he turned back to the girl who was saying how friendly a furball the cat could be and at this he smiled. "My cat Saffy can be a gentle, friendly kitty as well, when she's asleep that is.." he said with a smile on his face, the mischief shining in his eyes. Saffy was quite the ball of spunk when she wanted to be, and she was just as nice when it came to other people. She wasn't one of these lazy contentable house cats. She had independence, and claws to spare. He smiled again, gently as ever, looking at the bright blue eyes of the cat's master, admiring the various hues from different angles. He took a moment to smile again, mostly her words making him do so.
"Saffy can be territorial as well, but that's only when she's hogging my bed," he said, the smile still on his face. "But she's not as arrogant or as stand offish," he added, hoping she wouldn't take offense to him calling her cat arrogant when he was. Damien took time to study the features of the cat's face and he laughed. "I'm sure he's saying different," he spoke, opening his eyes to look at her. "Nice to meet you, fluffy kitty," he said, keeping his distance. "I'm out here at the moment because not much is going on in the Ravenclaw tower, and I wanted to see if I could meet some new faces besides the happy-go-lucky little first years. I swear getting rid of a first year is like trying to get a flea off hamster's rump," he said, laughing even at himself because he had no idea what that meant. "Plus it's a nice day to be outside," he added.
