SHE LIVES IN A FAIRYTALE
March 27th
full name Elizabetha Rose Seaton
nicknames Liz, Punk
age 15 years
date of birth
year and house of preference Gryffindor
bloodline Muggle-Born
Elizabetha, or Liz, can seem a bit like a punk at times, quiet and moody pretty much all of the time, and wearing dark clothing when not having to wear her uniform. Until you get to know her that is. She may slow to trust in others, but once her trust is gained, she’s a good friend, loyal and true, willing to do almost anything to be supportive. It’s hard to get her to turn away from a friend in need, she will step in for them if there’s trouble, or loan them notes and help them study for tests, though the later is usually in reverse, since she‘s usually the one needing help more than her friends. Though still quiet most of the time around her friends, she can be counted on to bring a different perspective to any conversation.
Liz is very different around arrogant and obnoxious people however, Liz is very different. Though she generally tries to avoid them, and in turn avoid any trouble that she would probably be starting herself, once confronted, she can be very verbal in her arguments. She has a short temper regarding these types of people however, and she can’t stand being picked on or called names, especially when it’s based on her height or being muggle-born. She’s usually the first one to make the argument physical, throwing the first punch, or elbow. She feels much the same way when her friends are the targets of ridicule, standing up for them even if they do not need her to.
On her own, Liz likes to sit in the shade, both figuratively and literally. When she isn’t busy with friends or classes, she likes to relax in the shade away from sight. She enjoys practicing her martial arts and kendo, finding peace in motion of body and sword, and striving to find the discipline that comes with it, to curb her temper. She also likes sitting in the dorm with Kidden, her cat, casting little illusionary figments and patterns of light for her feline companion to chase around, to keep him from getting too lazy.

Elizabetha, or Liz, is has a youthful look to her, with her short height and slender build. She has the kind of cute look that you would use to describe a little sister. She wears her hair in a simple style, usually drawn back away from her face, held covering her ears by clips. Her ears are pierced, twice in each ear, and in her right nostril, wearing pentacle earrings in her ears and a skull stud in her nose. She also has a tattoo around her left ankle, a thorny vine snaking around her leg with a single black and red rose. She dresses in practical clothes that can hold up to time, preferring clothes made from thick durable fabrics, and wears pants far more often then skirts. She often wears a well worn jacket that she’s had for what seems like forever. She doesn’t wear much make-up, when she actually wears any that is.

SENTENCE ME TO ANOTHER LIFE

father
mother Annabell Maria Seaton
siblings None
spouses None
offspring None
other relations None
Elizabetha Seaton, or Liz as she prefers, was born to a purely muggle family, her mother and father having no shred of magical talent. Her father worked in a factory as a foreman, while her mother worked as a teacher, at an intermediate school that Liz would go to as a child. Her childhood wasn't too bad, though at times her family went without many luxuries others took for granted, and her father tending to drink a little excessively at times. Most of the time, Liz spent time with the various pets her family cycled through, usually a small dog or a cat, up until she was able to pick her own pets, which ended up being a python, and further developed into other exotic and unusual pets. Other times, she would spend time with the few friends she had from school, while dodging the kids from school that would incessantly pick on her for her short height.
As Liz grew older, her father had become an alcoholic and after losing his job, walked out on her and her mother, leaving her mother to support the two of them as best she could. She’d also gotten into several fights at school, coming home bloodied, so her mother had her enrolled in a martial arts class, so she could defend herself, which later led her to learning the basics of kendo, Japanese swordsmanship. This also led up to her first magical experience while she was at school. While walking through the halls, she saw a pair of bullies that loved picking on her coming, and wished they would leave her alone. When they walked right past her, she was left wondering, until she went into a bathroom and saw her reflection. Light had bent and blended around her to create the illusion of someone else, and in her disbelief, the illusion faded in front of her eyes. Afterwards on her own time at home, she would wonder what exactly she had done, and try to figure out how to do it again.
By the time she received her invitation to attend Hogwarts, she saw the chance to go to the school as a means of escaping her dreary life for most of the year, not only to get away from the bullies at school, but so her mother could save up money while she was away. Soon after arriving however, she discovered the awe and wonders that came with attending the school. At first she could hardly believe what was right there in front of her, but she soon accepted, and started to explore the world of magic. She also discovered that even here, there were those who suffered from an overabundance of arrogance, and could help but put others down. She spent most of her time studying, and spending time with her newfound friends, while avoiding these new, self-appointed ‘enemies,’ and playing with her illusions. She found new joy in all her studies save one, Flying class her first year, when she realized she had a powerful fear of flying, and has since refused to fly, unless absolutely necessary.

roleplay sample
Liz had finished the last of her classes for the day, and spent time in the Gryffindor common room going over her notes. She looked up to the window, to check to see what time it was. Noticing the evening sun, she put her notes away and changed, replacing her uniform with a pair of jeans covered with patches of different colors, and a large rip at her right knee, a dark t-shirt, and a light sweatshirt open in the front. She smiled to her fellow students on the way out, heading down to the main grounds, grabbing the cloth sling that held her wooden training sword as she left.
She headed to an area of the grass where the castle cast a long shadow over the landscape. Pulling the hood of her sweatshirt up over her head, she pulled the boken from the cloth, and spun it once before starting to practice her swordsmanship, striking, thrusting, and blocking blows as if she faced another. She twirled and danced across the grass, bare feet sliding over the verdant carpet, practicing the basics she’d been taught back home. She watched the lengthening shadows as she moved, as the wooden blade sung through the air, also aware of the group of other students that had gathered to watch her.
As the sky started to drift with the colors of the approaching sunset, Liz came to a stop, bowing to an unseen opponent, before the wooden length was once again shrouded in cloth. She smiled to the other students, as she shouldered the strap of the sling, and headed back inside, wiping her brow with her sleeve. Once back in the dormitory, she cleaned up, and changed back into her uniform in preparation for dinner. Until then, she played with Kidden, her cat, casting little figments of light and color for the overweight cat to chase around.
