hello there , so sorry about this owl if it finds you at an inconvenient time, but frodo's giving me an awfully hard time. just recently as well. i don't usually send owls with him because he's rather scrawny and i'm afraid something will happen to him over long distances. besides, even when i'm sending short distance owls, he never seems to listen and ends up coming back with the letter. i have considered going to madam pomfrey for help, but i was just curious to where frodo would deliver a letter when he doesn't have a destination in mind. again, sorry if this is at a really bad time. if you receive this, just give your name and location. thanks!

annoyance,
Don't have anything else better to do than to test your owl? Honesty. Oh, and has anyone ever told you that you have a habit of rambling?
But still, I suppose talking to you is better than writing my essay. Boring and pointless things they are.
And if I were you- I wouldn't take anything to Madame Pomfrey. She's getting too old to do anything, in my opinion.
location; Snakes dorm, Hallows Uni. Anything else you want to know, for your sake? Might as well ask them now.

grumpy , oh it's you. i know i do have an awful habit of talking on and on, but it's a habit. and i'm pretty sure you know how hard it is to get rid of those. like your habit of pointing out everyone's faults i actually don't have anything else to do at the moment, moreover, frodo is a dear little creature. anybody with a heart would be genuinely concerned. i don't know whether or not to be flattered at the fact that i'm much better than a boring and pointless essay. as for madam pomfrey, i have to admit, she is getting rather old but still a dear old woman all the same. she treated my father countless times with patience. hallows university? well then, i am very proud of my frodo for venturing that far!
and i actually would like to ask something else. who or what on earth has gotten on your nerves? or are you just naturally grumpy? just curious.

annoyance,
Oh yes- it's me. But don't act as though it's my fault we're having this converation. You are the one who sent the bloody owl to me in the first place, in case you don't remember.
And as for the habit thing- one must always try. But it's probably a lost cause now. Frodo is an owl. An owl who has just interrupted me from somewhat important matters. So why exactly should I care about this creature? He's not my owl.
And I suppose you can take that in a good way. I'm not completely heartless though. But don't get a huge ego- I'd rather have a conversation with the Giant Squid than do my essay.

grumpy , well, if i knew if it was going to be you...i probably wouldn't have sent frodo. and i am sorry, about the essay i mean. i don't even want to imagine how it'd be in university, as you are now. but seeing as you are replying, perhaps i'll do the same as well.
not many people like frodo. i mean, he's not that bad is he? he may not be the handsomest thing out there, but at least he doesn't nip right? i'm guessing you're not too fond of your owl then?
wow. what a feat. a longbottom doesn't get fully scorned by a parkinson. i guess times are changing awfully fast these days. nobody is truly heartless. so i'm sorry about saying that. i think people just feign that sort of thing to give off that sort of impression? i don't, it's not really worth it. why do people try to get on the bad side of others?
my ego has given up completely. it would always get deflated at the smallest bit of flattery. the essay sounds absolutely dreadful if you'd rather converse with a squid. which doesn't even talk in the first place. so what sort of essay is it?

annoyance,
You've got spunk. Interesting.
Don't listen to the Professors, kid. All that 'University is all fun and games' crap. Don't listen to it. It's tougher than Hogwarts, if you can imagine.
But you're awfully innocent and naive. It's almost adorable, if I do adorable. You've got stuff to learn, Longbottom. The world is not sweet and loving. Believe me, people will take advantage of you. It's called being weak.
I suspect your homework can't be a piece of cake, either. I remember my time at Hogwarts. And if you must know, it's apart of my project. My major, really.
I believe that muggleborns should be seperated from purebloods/halfbloods. Not killed off, but seperated. Put in a different school. They learn at a different rate than us, so it would only be unfair to us and them. Purebloods are not getting the education they need, seeing the education has to be slowed down in order to teach the muggleborns.
In other words, I have to convince the Headmaster here to approve this.

grumpy , spunk? i haven't heard that one before. it's usually odd, loony or quirky. and interesting? have you not met spunky people before? they're all over the place. sort of annoying actually.
i know what i'm headed for. university is obviously not going to be a walk in the park. anybody would know better than to believe the professors. hogwarts isn't tough at all, only if you imagine it to be. i'm not trying as much as i used to in past years, yet i'm still doing just as good; if better.
i may be innocent. but naive? only people who believe in the saying: 'ignorance is bliss' are naive. i am a fairly observant person, reality is where i currently reside. but i'll admit, i am very...inexperienced? i don't know how exactly to describe it. and i am most certainly NOT weak. i absolutely hate it when people decide to characterize me as 'delicate'. fragile; yes, but delicate; definitely not.
who wouldn't be innocent and light at sixteen? i've heard muggles are way worse. i can prove to be a bit of a pushover, but i am improving. the power to say 'no' isn't as hard as it once was. i've always thought insensitivity was a little better than being extremely sensitive.
oh dear god. i hope you're not serious! i was hoping the whole muggle born thing would've died out, i can't believe people like you are are still complaining. muggle-born witches and wizards are in no way worse. they may seem a little...weaker in magical knowledge, but perhaps it's only because they know they are 'labeled' like that. it's totally unfair.
my auntie hermione is a horribly persistent person, and didn't let these accusations affect her. she turned out to be top of her year! but not every muggle-born can be as stubborn, if they were...well, us purebloods better up our game.
see how i'm a pureblood? i'm not complaining and i'm not surrounded by muggle-borns all day either. perhaps consider a more open mind? i don't know. i really don't mean any offense. oh dear, i've rambled again.

annoyance,
I tend to ignore such people, with little luck. They think they can save the world. Pathetic.
And of course, it wouldn't be hard for people like you. The noble Longbottom, huh? You do realize your father has practically carved out a path for you there. You barely have to lift a finger, let alone actually to do work. Favoritism has always been a ridiculous thing, but I suppose it has it's advantages.
And I wouldn't waste your time telling me the details of your dull life. Tell me, Longbottom- what have you done that's worth telling apart? Do you think I'll listen, much less care, to your woeful problems? I believe you can tell it the female Malfoy.
And of course, I didn't expect you to understand. Have you actually given much thought on the subject? Or are you just listening to all the crap and stories that your father tells you? Have a mind of your own, Longbottom.
Before the muggleborn sweep came along, we were doing fine. Great, as a matter of fact. Honorable inventions came along every day, making life better. But as more muggleborns came along, we've had to stop our progess in order for them to catch up.
And yes, while it takes them just a bit of time to catch up- it can seem like a lifetime to purebloods.
Ah, yes. The famous Hermione Granger. Why am I not surprised that I'm hearing about her? Again.

grumpy , i'll admit, i am getting a little lost. i've always been a little slow. i am not in any way capable of saving the world. staying ignorant to problems has been what i've been resorting to. it's obviously not working...so again, i'm trying to fix my ideals and ways of handling situations.
and do you actually think i like having a "carved out a path"? it can be extremely annoying sometimes. especially when i'm an only child as well. you've obviously never felt what it's like. i'm not a dependent person, i like to stick to my own mind.
i am a hufflepuff. the sorting hat does not lie. it's plain to see that i am in no way noble, courageous, dazzling clever or sly. favoritism is what i cope with. it's not as if i could help it. i may be somewhat of a teacher's pet, but it's not as if i try or want it. as for auntie hermione, i think she's remarkable. she hasn't done anything to you, has she?
i DO have a mind of my own. i'm not quick or naturally gifted, but i DO have my own head atop of my neck. i'm sorry for being so bold with my opinion, but i'm tired of seeing slytherins talk about it all day. thing is, this whole muggle-born thing is natural. nobody did it on purpose, i think.
it's evolution. things change. it's expected and sometimes, you just gotta deal with it. it may not be for the better or worse, but we make sacrifices and adapt to it. which may be why things have changed. so why are you going against something that was just supposed to happen?

annoyance,
It's the Longbottoms in general. Your father tried to save the world, tried to save the muggleborns. I'll admit it, the War wasn't needed. But don't think You-Know-Who didn't have the right idea. And staying ignorant isn't going to be a bliss for long. There's only so many times that you can pretend everything is fine and dandy.
I'm just saying, it's unfair to others. Several other families have worked their whole generation to build up a family name. Like mine, such as mine. But you Longbottoms- one lucky move at a lucky time, you guys are suddenly heroes. And the rest of us are thrown out.
Oh. A hufflepuff? Not a Gryffindor? I'm in shock, Longbottom. And as for your beloved Hermione- I've heard. About all the lovely, wonderful things she's done for the world. Too bad no one listens to all the horrid thing she's done when she was our age. No one is that saint-like, you know.
Perhaps. But then we must make room for developement, in which case- develope a new society. A place set apart for them. It's better for them and us.

grumpy , he was saving innocent people who didn't deserve to have this treatment pressed upon them. as if you can HELP being a wizard or witch. imagine the shock you'd go through finding out something like that. it's like finding out you're a squib or something, but even more bewildering.
some people try too hard. way too hard. the longbottoms had never really wanted the spotlight. maybe the opposite because of the humiliation my father had to forgo at first. he did what he believed in, selflessly and look what's happened. he never wanted to be a hero. he wanted to stick up for his friends and do something worth doing.
it's actually not that bad of a shock. my mum was a hufflepuff, so it was sort of predicted. or was that sarcasm? i can never tell in letters. obviously nobody is perfect. we were all stupid and foolish once. that's how we mature.
are you trying to brainwash me? nobody deserves to be excluded. it's like an all-girls/boys boarding school. it may seem very good to a lot of people, but will they ever know about each other? or how to deal with relationship issues way too far in their lives? we learn how to live with one another. and even maybe become stronger. the whole elite society thing looks a little overrated.

annoyance,
Well, not yet anyways. Haven't you heard? The best wizards and witches are truly capable of coming up with a...cure, for muggleburns. Nothing like the idiotic virus, of course. But it might be possible to conjour up a potion to end their...suffering.
Imagine being a muggleborn. Waking up one day, being a new person. Can you imagine the number of families that's been ripped up because of this? We'd be doing them a favor. Not that I'd expect someone like you to understand.
And isn't that just adorable? A wonderful fairytale story that ends with a 'and they lived happily ever after.' Do you honesty think this would be the end? Your father merely postponed destiny.
Are you lecturing me? Do you honesty think that a project like this could be done overnight? No, you silly girl. It's in the process of becoming real. My family, back to my great-great-grandfather, started this. I'm merely finishing it.
And if I wanted to brainwash you, I'd use magic. Did you ever think about that? And oh yes- living with one another has worked out great in the past. War, torture, etc.
It was just all fine and dandy back then, wasn't it?

grumpy , ha, end their suffering? they don't NEED to suffer, honestly. the only reason why muggleborns may be a major threat to our society, is that they might give something away. hogwarts is a typical boarding school. only with a different curriculum. i don't see why families may be torn up about this. astonished and a little scared, but not...distraught.
life is NOT a fairy tale. and it isn't cute. we're just trying to make the wizarding world a better place. you lot are complicating a lot of things. if you just left it, people would get over it. i hate it when people make such a big deal about it.
and as if i could ever lecture. wouldn't that be something? little gus longbottom preaching about something serious. or rather, something she doesn't even care about. and do you actually think you can accomplish all this? not to be rude, but how old are you again? i'm guessing you're really young.
i guess i sort of get you. i mean, it's not as if you can just break the tradition. most slytherin pureblood families teach their offsprings to look down upon muggle borns. i don't even get it. i'd always thought they just wanted people to pick on. therefore found this excuse too cover it up.
again, there WON'T be war and torture if you just left the subject alone! this is ridiculous and a waste of time. if this actually succeeds, there are going to be consequences. with a lot of persistent muggle borns.

annoyance,
And how exactly would you know? Imagine sending off your kids to school, not knowing what might happen. In the past, muggleborns, due to their lack of magical experience, have gotten hurt and injuried. What sane parent would like to see that? I'm not saying that we should get rid of them completely, unless they ask for it, but to rather serperate them. For the time being, anyways.
Not that I'd expect you to understand.
And unfortunately for you, I'm in a much better position to share my opinions. What are you- like twelve? Do you honestly think that the Ministry and the University will listen to someone like you? Despite your surname, even.
Think, Longbottom. First year at the Uni. At least try. But I have much more experience with this matter than you ever will. In fact, my family has been involved in this much longer than your family. The fact is- you have no idea what you're getting yourself involved in, discussing this matter with me.
Do you think I got to where I am by doing nothing? No. You have to step on others and push yourself forward. Otherwise, you'll be nothing to the world.
We're not monsters, Longbottom. We're simply doing what we think know is best for the world. And no one, especially not someone like you, will 'get me.' There's nothing to get, after all.
And who is to say that the muggleborns will argue? Do you think they like being different, away from their muggle home? You'd be surprised what a lot of them will think. Think Longbottom. No magic, no mess for them.
Don't think I'm a pathetic mess, trapped by my family's doing. I'm a Parkison, not a pity case. I know exactly what I'm doing.

grumpy , Well, I suppose I wouldn't exactly know, being a pureblood and all. But then how would you know either? Do you hang around them often? They haven't complained yet. And it seems like you're speaking for yourself, without a care about what they think about the whole situation. Don't you think you're being a little selfish?
Actually, I'm sixteen, thank you very much. I don't want them to listen to me. I don't complain all day, and frankly, I don't mind muggle borns. And yes, I do know about you and your family. I also realize that I really have no chance against you. I mean, I'm not that smart, witty or possess so much will power. But perhaps you could just lighten up a little? I don't know why you dislike me so much. I'm just a Longbottom. And I'm sorry about anything I've ever done to you intentionally. Have I even met you?
Thing is, I've never wanted to stand out. I don't want to be something to the 'world'. I'll just do whatever I can. That doesn't mean I'm useless. I've just never been one for the spotlight and I'm not mentally strong to face these sort of things. I admire you for your bravery.
I'm sorry. The prejudice around here is sort of getting to me. Like, it's seriously a mistake to put Hufflepuffs and Slytherins together in the dungeons. We don't really get along after all. And by the way, I'm just speaking from what I see. most muggle borns don't really mind everything. They seem to feel...quite special actually.
No no, I didn't mean to call you pathetic. but don't you think you ARE a bit biased? Influences are everything. [/blockquote] - - g. longbottom .
