here we have briar tegan pritchard ... a fireball of a sixth year girl. coming from a verbally abusive home, briar isn't the sweetest of hufflepuffs. in fact, not many believe she is a hufflepuff at all with that attitude of hers. but, if one looked deeper, they'd see what was behind the yelling and the violent nature. she has a habit of hitting her friends in the head with her flip flops, or bursting with scathing comments toward them. these antics only come about when those friends of hers are about to do something that could cause them, or someone else, harm. or if they're being stupid. briar is a tough cookie who cares very much about her friends in her own way.
as you can tell, she'd need friends. those friends would have to understand where she is coming from with her violent and rather rude antics. but i assume they'd be the opposite of her- very sweet and bubbly people. after all, briar is in hufflepuff, and so ... she would know a few of them. but of course she isn't house-stereotypical, so she knows others won't be either. she could have friends almost anywhere, as long as they understand her. she's been hurt by her father, emotionally anyway, and she makes it hard for others to get close to her. once they do, they're there forever.
enemies ... yes. briar will definitely have these. there will always be the ones who just don't like her, period. there will also be the ones who don't agree with her tactics and her personality, thinking she is something she isn't, or knowing who she is and hating her guts. briar will respond with such vigilance, that she barely lets any enemy of hers by without letting them know she hates them. she goes about it a different way, almost polite. being a hufflepuff, most of her 'animosity-like' behavior is geared toward them and dangerous actions that could harm them.
loves. briar has not had these ... at all. she has had admirers, but being who she is, she makes it hard for them to get close to her and get inside her heart. she is very independent, and wants someone to match her fire, not attempt to tame her. i don't want a love at first sight thing to go on, so perhaps the lover of hers could be friends with her, or maybe they were actually frienemies. they could bicker a lot, and get to know each other through 'yeah buts.' i could picture them as the couple that don't admit they like each other.

AUGUSTA & BRIAR welcome to the site, hazie! i'm roz =] kay uhm, i have augusta longbottom. she is a fellow sixth year hufflepuff, so they'd obviously know each other. so you said that briar's friends would be sweet and bubbly people. augusta can be just that. she can be very sweet, lively (i won't say bubbly because that's not the perfect word for gus) and is very verbose. she's quite the talker, and i personally can see them getting along. only if briar can stand her rambling nature. at first, augusta would avoid briar. just because she seems very different from herself. she generally doesn't like loud and violent people. since augusta's not shallow, she'd probably warm up to briar over time. and six years together is a lot of time. if briar was her 'true self' around augusta...i'd say augusta would like her.

AUGUSTA AND BRIAR i can see these two getting along very well. she does fit the bill for briar's ideal friends, and she is realistic in warming up to briar. the girl is somewhat of an ... acquired taste. briar will have not been too fond of her at first, but over time and with the multitude of classes and common room moments they had together, she'd warm up and grow a soft spot for augusta. i can see augusta looking past briar's antics to see the girl underneath, and even though briar is kind of being herself, she isn't. she doesn't like letting people in, and she'd be a lot nicer if she didn't fear others. anyway, i can see them getting on just fine. friends. =3

AUGUSTA & BRIAR augusta's always making odd friends and i'm rather fond of the whole 'opposites attract' thing. they'd have a lot to talk about in their conversations =] augusta's rather oblivious to what people say about her. before she was very sensitive. but she's learned to just pretend innocent ignorance. seeing as briar's rather harsh with her words, she could've noticed that augusta was totally unaffected. so yes, definitely friends! they'd have a lot to do and talk about. like no matter what mood augusta will be in, she'll always be able to talk to briar.

Hello! I'm Lucy (: Jonathan and Briar --- At first, I think he'd be scared of her. She seems just like the type of person who would frighten him, with the violent outbursts and all. However, I could see them potentially becoming friends if they spent enough time around each other. Jonathan isn't exactly bubbly, socially awkward would fit the bill better. But he's a pretty sweet guy and likes to think he's understanding. If they became close enough for him to figure out her family background, I'm sure he'd be much more likely to turn a blind eye towards the darker parts of her personality. All in all, I could see them being friends if they had hung out for some reason (maybe he tutored her or something like that?). And if not that, then I could see him probably avoiding her, cause he'd think she was scary. Landon and Briar --- He's a sixth year Slytherin who, to put it lightly, is a bit of an elitist. He's not exactly one to socialize, so I'm not sure if these two would ever really meet. Unless she's into the party scene. Drinking is just about the only thing that makes him social and well, nice. Elizabeth and Briar --- And this would be my other sixth year Slytherin. She's sarcastic, rude, and just generally rubs people the wrong way. I can't think of a specific reason for her to dislike Briar but I still think that she probably would. Just because she's hateful. I can't really think of anything plot-wise beyond that...mainly because my creative juices just aren't flowing today. xD

JOHNATHAN AND BRIAR yeah, i can see that. haha he'd be a little nervous at first, but perhaps she could be doing badly in a certain class that she has with him in those cross-house classes, and the teacher could assign him to tutor her. if he avoided her at first, it wouldn't seem like he'd be too eager, but if he was told to flat-out by the professor, then he'd have little choice. briar would be just as unhappy at first, and the two would bicker, or she'd promote bickering. i can see them becoming pretty close friends, slowly but surely. i think he could know about her family issues, out of chance. they could be in the owlry or something, and a howler from her father arrived and he wasn't eavesdropping but it could be heard. or something like that, as briar wouldn't openly just tell people she has home issues. friends it is. (:
LANDON AND BRIAR yeah no much here ... perhaps they've heard of each other but with different houses and groups of friends never really got to know one another.
ELIZABETH AND BRIAR these two could be a sort of enemies in an unceremonious way. they never gave each other reasons to dislike on another, but they just do. they could sneer at each other in the halls or something, but briar handles enemies differently than friends, though she'd be scathing and kind of mean anyway. yeah, i don't see these two getting along too well, so minor enemies i'd settle on.

Jonathan and Briar --- yeah, he would be hesitant to tutor her at first but if he didn't have a choice, well he'd obviously have to do it. so that sounds like a good way for them to have met. and i also like the idea of him finding out about her family via a howler. very original, i like it. so yeah, pretty close friends sounds wonderful. Landon and Briar --- yeah, i don't think either of them have a reason to seek the others company. so just know each other by name and face and that's about it. Elizabeth and Briar --- minor enemies sounds good. i don't really have anything to add to that.

JONATHAN AND BRIAR well awesome! i'd say, in the means of rping it out, we'd start at the point just after the professor assigned him to tutor her in class. or in the class in general. we could then just rp it out from there. the owlry part could come later. or something like that. whenever you're up to posting, just pm me. =3

BRIAR&SASHA;; Haaaaa. These two... certainly not friends. Sasha is angry and violent and kind of an ass... sooo her and Briar would just clash way too much. They totally wouldn't be anywhere near the same circle of friends, even if neither of them seem to be into the house rivalry thing. I can kind of see Sasha just dismissing Briar as "that one really short annoying girl that I could totally beat up if I wanted to." Under these circumstances, I don't think they'd be seeing much of each other... but brief encounters, one on one or otherwise, could prove to be lots of fun. Unless you have any different ideas? I'm down for whatever.

TINSLEY !
...Holycrap. They're completely different from each other. Opposite. x3
I don't think they would have much reason to cross paths, but I don't think they'll be close. Briar pushes people away and Tinsley invites them in, though mostly on accident. With Briar's somewhat harsh manners, Tinsley will probably resent the fact that she hurts people. But aside from that, I can't really think of anything else.

Sophia & Brair: Okay so Sophia is eitehr friends with people or afraid of them, so I'm thinking these two would be friends? They are both in the same house, and Sophia si rather bubbly and easy going .
Roxanne & Brair: Okay so roxanne is my drama whore. But I think for the most part she would be distasteful of briar but wouldn't do much about it. It would more or less be an ignore and disrespect relationship I think.
