Astoria found herself sitting in a rather bare looking office she hadn't yet had a chance to put up any sort of decoration, let alone her diplomas. Why was it that each time she talked with someone they insisted she knew nothing of what she was educated in? That was something that had always confused her and often would make her sad. Pouting for a moment she tried to find something that would make her happy, thankfully she had a few boxes open on the table ready to be used for decoration. Walking with a sort of slump in her shoulders as tears came to her eyes that were quickly brushed away. Reaching into the box to find a picture of her two boys she took when they weren't looking. Both were in a playful wrestle on the couch, smiling and bickering they both would look up occasionally. She loved magical pictures and the way they captured the moment, seeing a muggle photograph seemed to usually drain her. Astoria couldn't understand why they would try to catch people looking sad, she preferred if she only had muggle pictures to put all the happy ones together. With smiles and grins plastered across their faces rather than emotions that she would rather not see on another.
Mind when she did look at a few she could tell genuine happiness, maybe it was empathy or just the simple twists of their faces she could pick up. Which is why sometimes she turned the pictures over because some bad feeling would pick up even the slightest anger in the moment. Astoria was rather sensitive to these sort of things which is why she decided to be a part of helping others. Mind she did also have a considerable childhood where she could have made millions doing nothing but entertain. This was her chance to give back in a proper way, nothing with bright lights and flashing signs. No, Astoria for once had something good to do with herself and hadn't given up the idea since she was married. Sometimes though she missed performing and would take a few weeks of to do a special show or something, to help her family by adding an attraction but this happened less often. Whether it was because she enjoyed her new appointment as Hogwarts counselor at little to much or merely that she was growing out of her little attentions seeker self she didn't really know.
She only took a moment to once more glance around the empty walls before she stared back down at her son and husband laughing in the picture. She truly adored them and whether others believed it or they refused to there was love in the Malfoy Estate. Shaking her head once to giggle Astoria placed the picture lazily on the wall, it faced her boxes that were all out on the coffee table sort of thing. Glad there was a considerable design of her desk away from the window, she after all had an extreme fear of heights. As a child she was rather skilled at the high rope but considering she fell at such a young age it scared her extremely well. With a smile on her face she was finally able to pick out her sign up sheet, really it was more of a confidential slip that would be able to get those around school to sign up without it being blatantly out for everyone to see. Astoria was all about confidentiality but that didn't mean she wouldn't gladly put a little more colorful nameplate on the door. Instead of gold with a plain name stenciled in it was green with orange stenciled in, she found it a little more interesting and found it best to put that up until her other sign arrived for above the door. With that very thought, and a knock she heard at the door, she smiled at the delivery bought by a few house elves. She tipped them rather nicely and as they already learn to take the money without upsetting her they left with haste.
Smiling at the lovely writing she still kept the name plate but stepped out into the hall, planning to raise the star above the door. The design was really just a star with fancy lettering dancing across with a rather fancy lettering the name of her office. It was only white and black which made her change the coloring scheme of the little rectangle as well. Her name know had a black background with white lettering, to match the sign that was a black star with white lettering. She had gotten the idea of the lettering from some sign out in the muggle world, she just thought hers looked a little prettier. Maybe it helped that it sparkled if the lights were turned of, just in case anyone had needed her during the night. Minding that she was at home, they could contact her if the matter was really that urgent. Astoria didn't mind doing this and her husband would still be used to it, because her other office had the same policy. Smiling a little she began to extinguish the lights a little around to try and coax a little glow, something which made her giggle. Right away returning the lights around her to their original luminosity, she put her hands on her hips studying the sign carefully. She wondered whether it looked alright, whether she might need to move it to the side of her door rather than over the entrance. While she figured this out she was lost in her own little smiling world, one that could easily end up with her startled.

IT'S ME - I'M A FREAK ( but thanks for loving me ) CAUSE YOU'RE DOING IT PERFECTLY.
Sophia pulled her blonde curls up into a messy bun. She had no energy to try and tame her curls. They were simply out of hand today. It didn’t matter much, it was a Saturday afternoon and she was void of work. For once in her life she wasn’t laden up with work. Maybe it was due to the virus, but the teachers seemed to have eased up on the work assigned and were being quite light hearted and kind with the students recently. It was a funny thing what illness did to those around it. It made them worried and soft. This was what had happened to even the toughest teachers, they weren’t laying on pounds of homework and essays were hardly ever assigned. It was as though the teachers were simply going to let them have a free year this year. Teach them a bit in class and give them all O’s. It wasn’t too bad in Sophia’s mind; it made things a lot easier to deal with. Of course being a pureblood, Sophia and her brother had not been affected by the virus. It was a perk of being a Pucey along with guaranteed acceptance and status, immunity from a virus.
Sophia sat in the common room for a few moments, before deciding she really didn’t want to be there. She stood up and looked around the room. She was unsure of where to go. Deciding to let her feet guide her, Sophia made her way out of the Hufflepuff common room and in to the castles many pathways. A small sigh left her lips as she traveled and soon her mind began to wander. She started to reminisce on memories with her family. Some were from when she was very young, while others were recent ones. People seemed to assume that there was no love in pureblood households, other than that of the Weaseleys. But it wasn’t true. Every family had love; Sophia knew that first hand, not only did she have a loving family she was fairly close to many other pureblood families and she knew there was love in each one of them. It seemed so unreasonable to here that just because some of their grandfathers had made poor choices they had to suffer. They had to deal with the stigma. It was funny, for those who were on the order’s side were always going on about not judging their children on their actions, yet it seemed that the same curtsy would not be extended to those who fought against them.
The memories of her family lead her to think of memories with family friends as well. Sophia started to blush when she thought of a certain boy. It had been a while since she had last seen him. Yet they always seemed to fall back on each other. It was an oddity with them two. He often treated her badly, yet she always came back to him. What else could she do? It was the way she was, and she could hardly cut him out of her life, her family and his were close, so close that his mother was equivalent to a second mother to her. Although their parents hadn’t been extremely close throughout their school years, things changed after school, and the two families were extremely close now and spent many of the holidays and other times together. Her house was always open to the Malfoys and the Malfoy Manor had always been open to her as well. It was a comforting thought. It was nice to always have a place to go when one needed it.
These thoughts brought a small epiphany to Sophia. She remembered that Astoria was setting up an Office in Hogwarts to help deal with the tension and the high onset of emotions running around the castle. It was much needed in Sophia’s opinion. It seemed that students were having mental breakdowns left right and center. It was really an amazing fact that Hogwarts hadn’t thought of getting a counselor before now. So much had happened in these walls, Hogwarts really did have a mixed history. But after all one did have to take the good with the bad. Changing her path Sophia made her way down the hallways to where she believed the brand new Hogwarts counselor’s office to be. Sophia smiled when she saw the name plate she was in the right place. Sophia smiled lightly when she saw the black plate with the white lettering and stars. She knew that Astoria would be available to the students always, no matter what the time of day or night. With a smile on her lips Sophia knocked gently on the open door. “Hey there, have I found the new counselor’s office? she said with a smile, before continuing “The name plate is lovely by the way” she told her.

Remembering the first time her cousin bought in the sign to her she couldn't help but feel that pang of nostalgia. Toshiko was a sort of graphic designer that trained in both magical and muggle means, giving her an edge in the business. Right away begging Astoria and giving nothing more than a result that gave the newly married Malfoy a smile on her face. Giving her a chance rather swiftly to come to a conclusion to keep the logo for good, often getting compliments from others. This one had an extra feature of being able to glow even in the dimmest of hallways. Although at the moment it was a question of setting it above her doorway in a way she considered right.
There was the tilt that needed to be just right, to make the sign look entertaining, vaguely poor Astoria tried to list out the rules of placement. Wondering whether she had just made up the ideal in her head or it truly had merit, that was when she felt rather lost. Deciding to walk inside without even thinking to close the door she couldn’t help but keep the idea of that nagging sign in the back of her mind. None the less the thought of some curtains came to mind as she magicked the tape measure, giving it a mouth so she could hear the measurements of the window. Rather confused when a different voice was added into the mix she looked up rather startled, tilting her head a bit to register it was a student. Nodding to the girl’s question while Astoria worked to contain a smile she couldn’t help but be curious. Graciously accepting the compliment, “Why thank you my dear,” taking quite some time to place her face. Hearing the mention of her name in the back of her mind she could only take a guess at the last name, “Would you by chance be a member of the Pucey Family?” Astoria inquired without warning soon correcting herself with a flourish of worry, “Of course it’s quite alright if you aren’t, I’m merely curious.” Her blonde hair curled to a bob had a few strands flutter into her eyes, enough to nearly blind the line of vision her hazel eyes took.
This must have been one of the first students to pass by her office without bursting into tears or admittance. Entirely full of wonder she couldn’t help but glance blankly at the girl for a few moments. Almost thrilled that not everyone was depressed, and walked forward to stand a little closer. The girl must have wondered why Astoria didn’t stand anywhere closer, it was really the Malfoy’s own self-conscience. She had been that way since a child, just a little shorter and more conscience about it than others were. None the less she worked to get over it but that still didn’t mean she was going to right away throw herself that close to someone taller than her. That was when she registered the shoes on her feet, at least giving her a few inches and gladly walked forward and held out her hand, “Nice to meet you properly, none of the fancy talk, just simply you and I having a conversation.” Astoria reasurred almost casually, she wanted to make the girl feel at ease, maybe even making herself feel better in the process.

IT'S ME - I'M A FREAK ( but thanks for loving me ) CAUSE YOU'RE DOING IT PERFECTLY.
Sophia simply smiled at the lady in the office. She was exactly as she remembered her: polite and very lady like. She seemed almost docile like. She had always like Astoria went they had met; she had been quite nice to her and never treated her like she was a little girl. “I am, Sophia Pucey” she said softly, taking the woman’s hand. She felt at ease, she instantly liked her more than she liked many of the other professors. She seemed kind and sincere, as though she would really care about what was happening in the students’ lives. Not that Sophia would ever share much with her. It wasn’t that she didn’t like her, but she only had two things to talk about : 1) the fact that because of her a boy was dead and 2) the fact that she was in love with Scorpious, Asotria’s son. Neither of those were conversations she wanted to have .She didn’t even want to have those conversations with her best friends. It was smarter to avoid those topics. For if she discussed this with Astoria, there was a good chance her mother would find out and if her mother found out so would her father, and as it was her father wasn’t fond of Scorpious.
She loved her parents she really did, but it wasn’t wise to have them involved in this. They wouldn’t understand. They would tell her they were disappointed in her choices, they wouldn’t understand that he was the one for her. Or at least that’s what she believed; she wanted to be in love with him. She wanted him to love her back. Deep down she knew that he didn’t but it didn’t matter at this very moment. That was the thing about being young, you lived for the moment and often forgot to look past the present and see the future. Seeing that far ahead and seeing the impact of today on tomorrow was a hard thing to grasp let alone do for everything. She just really wanted to live her life. There were times where she was sick of being innocent and naive. She wanted to be seen as smart and worldly. A woman who could hold her own. Yet she doubted that would ever happen. Some people like her seemed to be doomed to a life of innocence. Maybe it had something to do with her look as well people just looked at her and assumed that they knew her. That she the innocent one.
But she was, in the end she knew that she was. She was the innocent child that had always done what her parents had told her to do. Her presence in the office proved it once and for all. Her mother had told her to go talk to Astoria, not for an analysis, just to be polite, and where was Sophia now? Talking to Astoria. It was a touch ridiculous how obedient she was. But she would hold her own if she ever needed to. “How are you? “ Sophia asked pleasantly with a smile on her lips. “Mum sends her regards” she told the other blond kindly.
