The young blonde pushed back her blonde locks as she walked around the school, the school that looked quiet…too quiet. It was actually really weird and Analeigh was not used to seeing it like this. Sure, she was one of those people that hated noise sometimes, but right now she would not have minded it if there were people running around screaming. Well, not screaming just a lot more life around here, it was so dead. Sighing quietly to herself the Slytherin trailed her hazel eyes over the stairs that led up to the General Common Room. Okay, so she had been spending most of her time around there. It was unnatural of the girl, but it gave her more time to think about things going on in her life – and now that was something she did not do often. Analeigh was not the type of person who would just sit there and reflect on her life, it was not her at all. However, it felt good and Analeigh liked to just think for a few moments.
Taking in her surrounding the girl felt a shiver down her spine; she just frowned lightly and made her way slowly towards the Common Room. The heavy books were held tightly against her chest, as Analeigh climbed the stairs; sometimes the blonde wished that the Slytherin Common Room was not to far away from the Common Room, it was really annoying. Analeigh did not really know why she was going to the General Common Room, when she could have just sat in the Slytherin Common Room…maybe she just needed to get away from everyone…even the Slytherin’s. A light and soft yawn escaped the young girl’s mouth while she peered around the corridors as she arrived at her destination. The night before had not been good for Analeigh at all, she did not get the sleep that she need…and well that left her feeling rather cranky today as well.
Whenever Analeigh was moody or cranky she was not the best person to be around, she would just easily snap at the slightest comment. Half of her was hoping that she would not bump into anyone that she was annoyed by or just hated. Then it would have been easier for her to keep calm and collected. Yet another sighed let the girl as she looked around the Common Room, she really needed to stop doing that it was becoming a habit of hers – the sighing that was. It made people think she was even more snobby that they thought, because she would sigh at random people and well it looked like she was just looking down at them (even if sometimes that was what she was doing).
Setting down her books onto the table in the middle or the room, the Slytherin smiled as she saw no one else in the room. Well, there was no one else here right now. Some of the other students may come flooding into the Common Room at any time. However, she was hoping that it was just going to be her and her books. Taking a seat, the blonde rested her arms onto the table and placed her head softly down upon her arms. She could have fallen asleep right here, although it was not really that comfortable so that was unlikely. The young blonde heard a noise, either someone entering the room or like a book dropping. She did not hear it clearly so she had no idea what it had been. Her eyes looked up quickly as she searched for where mystery noise came from. ]

The entire castle was coming down with some intolerable illness. It had been happening for weeks- months- starting when they returned from Christmas break. A good portion of the student body was rendered incapable of leaving their dorm rooms and doing anything other than coughing and sneezing. Juliette, fortunately or unfortunately was not suffering. She hadn't thought to stop and ask why her best friends were suffering this horrible consequence, hadn't stopped to contemplate dark matters, she just knew it was taking a toll on her too. It's not that she really minded helping her friends, but when she was tired, irritable and hormonal sometimes she just didn't feel like it, and she had to give all her Ravenclaw the friends the work she did in class (which wasn't very much given that many teachers had gone down with the virus too); which she didn't always feel like doing either.
Besides these selfish reasons, there was another. Juliette's talent had grown throughout the year, and still she had confided in no one, but she heard everything. She could hear younger children frightened of what was happening to them, yelling out in their heads for relief. She wanted to help them, but couldn't; their rooms were barracaded and they wouldn't know her if she tried. Aside from these troubled infants, there were those her own age too. Some of her friends had tried magic, and although Juliette had been outside when it happened, it lingered on all of their minds for the rest of the day and then some more. Marcus had tried to create artificial light in the room- lined with heavy blackout curtains- using 'lumos' surely one of the simplest spells. The picture flickering through their heads had been horrible. First he had choked, then doubled over, and then his wand dropped from his shaking hand. It was then she should have realised this was no ordinary illness, but she hadn't. Too horrified by what she shouldn't have seen Juliette tried to shake it out of her head, and to do so she spent as little time in her dormitory or the Ravenclaw common room as was possible. In fact, in recent days she'd taken to leaving the premisis as soon as she found it was already inhabited by one or more persons. As if her troubles of the previous year had culminated in one fell swoop; Juliette could no longer stand to be around people.
So, that morning she had got up quietly, trying not to disturb her roommates who weren't sleeping well as it was, and gone about her usual morning routine, before picking up her satchel, overflowing with books, and heading into the hallowed halls of the deserted castle. And it was deserted, there was no other way about it. All of those not ill seemed to be hiding like Juliette, though in her case she was hiding in the wide, open corridors. As sad as she was about the entire scenario, Juliette was strangely at peace in the empty halls. As she descended the staircase to the sixth floor she stopped, closed her eyes and stood for a few moments. Even in the far reaches of her mind she could not hear anything. It was bliss.
This bliss however, came to an abrupt halt on two occasions. One, when the staircase indicated it would like to move in its normal manner- jerking its occupants awake seconds before it threw itself around, onto a different landing. The second was later, much later. Juliette's habit of curling herself into a hedgehog like ball when she was reading seemed to have rendered her invisible. Dark corners were where she preferred to hide in rooms, unseen, unoticable, and apparently she was. Her small, fragile build and barely height meant that you could look through her. For the most part that was what she wanted.
Around an hour into her time in the silent General Common room Juliette was disturbed by a voice, by the scraping of a chair and humming thoughts. Her eyes closed slowly, her hand marking her place in her novel as she snatched glances at the girl who joined her. The thoughts were spoken in a melodic tone, and the glances created the complete picture. Analeigh Avery; one of the most sought after girls in the school. Although Juliette did not often fall foul of cliche, she knew that boys would die to have her and girls would die to be her, yet Juliette didn't feel as much envy as she perhaps should have. Sure, she was short, but she was relatively smart and she was sure she'd find someone one day. But even those thoughts did not deny her a little jealousy. Analeigh's legs were probably the height of her whole four-foot-eight frame, and such good looks and grace came from good genetics, none of which Juliette had inherited from her parents.
Juliette sighed in her mind, and imagined her heavy novel slamming shut. The image jerked her more awake than she'd been in a long time, but apparently it had an effect on the other girl. Juliette's eyes darted, before the heavy lids descended again, into thought and a light slumber. 'Please don't see me, please don't see me.

Turning her head slowly the blonde eyed the girl that was sitting there, with a book in her hands. Now she looked really familiar to Analeigh, but who was she? For a second the Slytherin just looked at her trying to figure out who she was. Of course she had seen her before; one thing that she knew for certain was that she was in the same year as herself. Sighing quietly the blonde just turned her head away for a second before she heard a small distant voice. The voice was not spoken by anyone; it was just heard inside the Slytherin’s head. This was not abnormal for Analeigh, it was actually normal; now it did not really sound normal hearing voices inside her head. ”Please don’t see me, Please don’t see me” – that was she heard. It sounded like the young girl that was sitting a few feet away from her. The telepathy was definitely working today; like any other day, which was not how she wanted it to be.
Raising one eyebrow the blonde did a half turn to gaze back at the young girl, she sighed lightly while she felt a small smile on her face. ”Would you rather be alone?” the sweet voice spoke out as she smiled at the girl. Of course she was not really going to leaver her alone; she was just playing with the girl. Nor was Analeigh going to tell her that she could hear what she was thinking. The blonde was allowed to have some fun, and well she was bored right now, so this girl would have done for now…then it hit her. She knew who this girl was; it was that Juliette girl in Ravenclaw. ”Oh. Juliette.” Analeigh thought to herself while leaning into the chair. Analeigh did know who she was, they had probably passed each other in the corridor a few times and the two girls would have probably been in the same class as well.
One thing the blonde had to admit was that Juliette was really pretty; and not the kind of pretty that only happened if you applied inches of make up. No, Juliette had that natural beauty about her; it was actually quite nice to see someone that did not look fake and plastic – just natural. Of course that was probably one thing that she would never say to the girl. She would just keep that opinion inside her own head, and well she was slightly jealous that she looked good with dark hair. Analeigh loved her blonde hair, but she would have really liked to have dark brown hair. Sure, she had tried to once, but Analeigh did not think she looked right with the brown hair; she was more of a blonde and should stay like that.
Taking her hazel eyes away from Juliette, the Slytherin looked down at the book that had been in her hands. Yet another sigh escaped her mouth while looking around the extremely quiet room. Analeigh was getting really annoyed with the quietness around the school. Most of the students were ill, some coughing from each and every corner of the school. It was quite disgusting – as Analeigh thought. Some of her Slytherin friends were unwell, but she hardly spent time with all of them, just a few of the girls that was it. One of the only girls out of her friends that she truly liked was; Remy. Analeigh felt like she could trust the girl, and she was glad that she had her around.
Rubbing her eyes slightly, the blonde yawned while looking into the space between the seats around the room and Juliette. She did not have a good nights sleep, and was feeling rather sleepy. However, this had not been the first time Analeigh could not get to sleep. It was mainly because of the same dream that she would have every night. This dream would consist of Analeigh watching a young blonde girl playing with a dark haired girl. She did not know how they related to anything with herself, because she had been an only child so it was obviously not a sibling, right? ”Stupid f’ing dream, keeping me awake” the blonde thought for a moment as she closed her eyes for a moment.

Juliette, though trying to be in a peaceful slumber beneath her heavy eyes, was interrupted and disturbed by the other girls speech. How had she understood something that Juliette had not verbally said? As far as she knew she had not moved, unless that was a third person dream, an out of body experience that wasn't normal. No, Juliette blinked, her eyes opening as she thought. Her eyes darted, but she allowed herself to move none, other than that. How could this girl understand? Could she ask. Her eyes flickered to the blonde girl, who, to Juliette, looked like an arrogant cat. Sitting, almost feline in her expression, making Juliette uneasy. It was what Juliette imagined she'd be like too, if she was popular, tall, gorgeous.
However, she was still worried. Closing her eyes again her head sank down, her first outward movement in a long while. "How did you hear that?"
Juliette demanded, in her head, a quiet tone. It was impossible that the girl would be able to hear that, unless she was.. no, it wasn't possible. But yet, she felt it may have been. "Even if I asked you to leave, you wouldn't anyway." a bland statement, in Juliette's low, hushed tones, in her head. Her dark hair fell in front of her face and she wanted to hide from the blonde girl; she had been managing so well. Hidden in the shadows- her favourite place. Juliette's heart beat fast as she saw the thoughts in the blonde's head. A vague dream of a blonde and a brunette playing on a grassy field. The blonde stomped off, only to return and throw herself upon the brunette, who dropped her garishly coloured beach ball and fell on the floor, under the weight of the taller blonde child, but laughed and cried in equal measure. Eventually the two girls got up and smiled, and Juliette smiled too. It was an odd dream, and the blonde was uneasy about it. But who was Juliette to say that it was anything to be uneasy about; she didn't know anything about this Analeigh, other than that she was everything she'd ever wanted to be (besides from the bitch part). But that was a dream, and it'd never happen. Ridiculous to dwell on it. However, at the same time Juliette had a feeling of uneasyness and anticipation in her stomach, as if something was going to happen. Maybe it was the fact the girl didn't know she was there until she'd intuatively tuned into her thoughts, if that was even possible for someone who wasn't as freakish as Juliette, that freaked her out. It probably was. [/blockquote] TAGS MY MJ! WORDS eight seven three OUTFIT ici!MUSIC Yann Tiersen: Goodbye Lenin Score NOTES i'm sorry, this is terrible.

Reopening her eyes as she heard the girl’s thoughts again, the blonde just smiled to herself and looked over at Juliette. She wanted to know how she heard her, of course Analeigh could have opened her mouth and spoken but she liked this little ‘game’ that they were playing. It was a lot more fun thinking it and having Juliette hearing her. A small smirk crept onto her face while Analeigh turned her chair around to face the brunette. If Analeigh had heard the girl’s thoughts and now she was attempting to talk back now…then she must be able to do that same then. ”Well, I think you know how I heard you…” she thought to herself, as she communicated with the girl with her mind. The blonde slowly started to twirl her hair as she looked around the empty room; well empty apart the two of the girls that were there. Analeigh liked it when it was quiet, but really this place needed to liven up.
”Hmm, yeah I guess you’re right there, I wouldn’t really listen to whatever you say anyway” this time the blonde actually spoke out in reply to Juliette. Now, if someone else had been in the room with them, they would have thought the girls were crazy. Of course all they were doing was talking to each other, but because half of the conversation was said in their heads and part of it was spoken, so it would have sounded quite weird; not that Analeigh cared right now anyway. If someone did walk into the Common Room, then it would have given the Slytherin a reason to actually talk to Juliette without really talking out loud.
The blonde let out a sigh while she tilted her head to the right, as she stared across the room. This girl seemed quite at unease about Analeigh hearing her thoughts. It was probably how Analeigh would have reacted as well; no one wants people to hear their thoughts. They were private and there was no one in the world that had the right to listen in on them. However, somehow these two girls were gifted with the power to be able to do that, and honestly it bugged Analeigh. It was mainly the thought of other people listening to her – even though she had just done it now. She liked to keep her feelings to herself and in her head, but that was not possible if you were around people like herself and Juliette.
The Slytherin’s hazel eyes stopped on the young brunette for a split second, before she took them away again. There was something about Juliette that was quite familiar to Analeigh, she did not know what it was, but she wanted to know of course, because it was really going to start annoying the blonde. At first Analeigh thought it was because she had seen her around the school before, but that could not have been it. For a moment she sat there trying to think of what it was, was it her eyes? Was it just her in general?

This girl, Juliette had decided, was absolutely horrible. Juliette was rarely vengeful, but right now she felt like having a tantrum, then fighting the other girl right there and then. Her sarky tone was reminiscent of a younger Juliette, the sarcasm used in humour would have been her normal thing to do a year ago, but never used in such a nasty way. And besides, that Juliette was gone- she had disappeared this summer. Juliette closed her eyes grinding her teeth together and saying sharply in response to the girls internal comments. "You know that wasn't what I asked," Juliette's tone was sharp; a strange contradiction between her normally hushed tones and the sharpness. Her cheeks rouged, reddening with the anger bubbling inside her. It happened rarely- the last time Juliette had flown into a rage was when her mother had died, and that was inexplicable.
Juliette suddenly found it difficult to differentiate between reality and her mind. This girl had been speaking through her thoughts- she was sure of it, but all of a sudden Juliette's head, buried in her hunched up knees and cloaked by her dark strands of hair, was confused. Was the other girl speaking through her mind or using her mouth? Juliette didn't want to look- she could feel the eyes of Analeigh snaking up and down, just taunting her and daring her to exclaim something. It may have looked stupid to the other girl, but Juliette genuinely believed that if she curled up small enough, in her dark coloured clothes, in the shadows, she'd disappear and then everything would be okay. She could float weightlessly and watch people without being seen, become invisible. Juliette was a child inside, she looked like one on the outside too, and sometimes she just wanted things to be simpler.
In these thoughts Juliette drifted, and stopped paying attention. She fell asleep, and snuffled every so often. Dead to the world

Analeigh just stared at the young brunette as she spoke out, and well it did not sound like the Ravenclaw at all. She sounded angry, but what the hell did Analeigh care how this girl felt – she was no one to her. The Slytherin did not normally care about people that she did not know, it was just something that she never did. Heck, Analeigh did not really even care about people that she knew. All they were to her were people, people who did not matter. Of course that may have made the blonde sound very cold but really she was not like that; it was just an outer-shell – as you could probably call it – and it was just something for Analeigh to hide behind.
Sighing quietly to herself the blonde just smirked and looked down at the ground before returning her attention upon the brunette. ”Mmhm, you’re right” the young blonde spoke out as she pushed a stray hair behind her ear. Analeigh knew that was not what Juliette had asked, but that was the answer the brunette had received from Analeigh – that Juliette knew how she had heard her. Of course Analeigh was sure that the other girl had known how her words had been heard. The Slytherin did not want to ‘beat around the bush’ so she might as well just tell the young girl. Analeigh smiled to herself as she paced the room for a second, before speaking again.
”Well. Do you want to know or not. Or can I just leave you to think about it?” Analeigh raised her voice slightly as she grinned while leaning against the table she was sitting in front of before. The Slytherin had no idea what the young Ravenclaw was doing; it actually looked like she was going to sleep. Frowning slightly, Analeigh just stared at the girl as she waited for her to speak again, and if she did not speak, then the Slytherin would just leave her to be. One thing the blonde really hated was when people either ignored her or just did not pay attention to her, just to piss her off.
Moving away from the table the Slytherin walked over to Juliette, at first she just stood there looking down at the girl, but then she bent down and tapped her on the shoulder. ”Are you even listening?” she asked as she took a step back to wait for a response. The blonde was getting really impatient now, and that was not a good thing. She hated to be kept waiting and this Ravenclaw was really getting under her skin now. It was not only because she was not listening to her, it was also because there was something about her. Analeigh had no idea what it was, but she had a weird feeling in the pit of her stomach – especially once she had gotten closer to her.
