The entrance hall was eerily deserted. The dusty sunlight had faded into the evening, and the interior of the castle was cast in fiery orange shadows. One of the double doors to the great hall creaked open, and a solitary figure strode into the center of the vast room. Sasha's skin was sleek and burning from perspiration, with dust inadvertently smeared on her face, hands, and arms. Blood spiraled from her forearms and dripped from her fingertips, seeping from deep, long gashes carved down the length of both arms. There were five for each arm - one for each fingernail of her own. Bits of skin still stubbornly clung to the frayed edges. Assuming that Sasha lived to see it happen, they would certainly leave nasty scars.
Sasha's tireless stare scanned the ground floor as she began her ascent up the stairs. Dark circles hung below bloodshot eyes, piercing in their emptiness. The virus had commandeered her brain, leaving very little evidence that there had ever been a person there at all. Still, it was creepy how her mind still knew its way around Hogwarts, and how certain visual and auditory stimulation could still trigger a verbal response. Her words were never unique - rather, they were phrases that she had spoken in the past. When her sickness escalated to the point where physical restraint was necessary, she had screamed at the nurse, that her legs were numb and her hips felt broken. Her pelvis was broken - back in her sixth year when a particularly well-hit bludger had knocked her off her broom, sending her falling 30 feet to the ground. In short, her brain was only capable of recognizing people, places, or things, and automatically connecting them to past events or conversations. It wasn't a conscious act - rather, an automatic reaction that held little in the way of consistency. It was sporadic at best, and for the most part, Sasha's vocal chords were silent... aside from the frightening snarls and animalistic yells that she belted out while destroying things.
Sasha stepped onto the landing halfway between the first and second floors. She leaped onto the stone railing overlooking the entrance hall and stood unwaveringly still. One of her fingers twitched and she peered down at the ground floor. She had detected a sound, and her gaze focused on where she thought it came from. notes; kind of sucks, sorry. but it's something to reply to. tagged; Brenan and Tinsley. outfit; here. as if this matters right now lol. music; my life for hire - a day to remember

STAND IN THE PAINSTAND IN THE RAINYOU WON'T DROWN she fears if she cries, the tears would not stop
Everything felt like a mess. Words couldn't explain it and the emotions were too mumbled up. Everything was just a mess. Why should she keep going? It'd be so much easier to just lay down and never come up again. To start over completely, a blank sheet of paper. It was just one of those days for Tinsley Katherine Wood. She was tired, no- exhausted. But strangely enough, she can't sleep. If she just tried, try to close her eyes...she'd end up wide awake. Energy blunded up inside her, urging her to do something. Anything. Come on, Tinsley. Just go for a walk. That'll make you feel better. Tinsley thought to herself over and over again. She's been telling herself that for years, to just push past the bad things until you see the good. To forget the past and let it fall behind. Usually, the pent up anger and the pain disappeared. Where they went? Who knows. All she knew was that they were gone.
Where would she go? At this point, Tinsley didn't give a damn. She was just sick of it. Just completely and utterly sick of it. It was the nagging voice, the voice that told her she was nothing but a beautiful piece of space. To others, she's the girl that has everything. Her father was a legendary Quidditch Captain. Her mother was a war hero. But that was just it- everything was already balanced. A frustrated sigh errupted from her soft pink lips. She didn't want to think about it- she wanted to escape. All she knew was that if she told anyone, just anyone, about this- she'd look like a spoiled, selfish fool. Her footsteps echoed loudly in the dim silence, it scared her. Heart beating, Tinsley told herself to get a grip. She was just being paranoid. But at the same time, she felt like she was having an out of the body experience. She lost the feeling of her toes, her arms, and the rest of her body. Still, Tinsley was just determined not to be afraid. That was her motto- show no pain, show no fear.
At least she was all by herself. Just alone, all sere- someone was there. Her heartbeat increased dramatically, it seemed like it was going to brust. Her dark chestnut hair blended in with the shadows, hiding her. Her dark honey eyes scanned the darkness in front of her. She shouldn't wandering about, the virus. But then again- she was a pureblood. I'll be fine, Tinsley tried to reassure herself. She was going to be alright. Without meaning to, without any idea why, she stepped into the dim lightning. She was sure someone was there. But who, besides her, would be around at this hour? Fear held her voice for a moment or two, her courage wavering. Don't be silly, Tinsley. She barked at herself, eyes crinkling in confusion.
" Is anyone there ? " For a minute, Tinsley felt utterly like a fool. Was she just talking to herself? Was the fear twisting her mind? Dear Merlin- what is the matter with her? Her cold hands gripped her wand tight, bring it close to her. The cold floor seemed to be moving, the walls coming together. Yes, Tinsley was afraid. But she'd be damned if she showed it. Too numb and frozen to repeat herself, Tinsley just waited- breath held. Don't let it be a werewolf ! she thought wildly. She could be imagining things...but it didn't feel right.
