The Characters:

Characters must be believable. No complete geniuses, no perfect looking or gets all the girls or guys type people. Mary-Sue’s we call them.

But also, we don’t want characters that run around depressed all the time, with a completely tragic life story. If your character is like that, contact an admin first. We don't mind a couple tragedies, but no "Kill me or I'll do it myself." said Johnny as he stood on the edge of the Astronomy tower. type kids, okay? Remember, believable.

Post the applications in “Profiles” and wait for them to be reviewed. Be patient, we cannot be on 24/7, though we try our best.

Please have your character portrayed by a celebrity; it is so much easier on everyone this way. And don’t forget to post them in the face claim.

Please, three characters each maximum, but unless cleared with an admin, we would like everyone to play a guy as one of their three. It helps keep gender ratio closer to even.

Have either a 100X100 icon, or a signature of some sort displaying your character’s celebrity. It is a quick visual reference for those you role play with.

Characters may swear as much as they wish, but please, do not go overboard. We don't want to see every second word as a curse.

Applications && Registering:

You MUST reserve a character if they are a canon. Not nessesary for originals, but for canon's it'd be nice.

For your ACCOUNT, make the display name the name we call you. However, you can register with whatever name, like, you could register with something like 'anna1991' and then change it to 'anna ilyssa iverson'. make sense?

If you register as a Le'Strange, please spell the name properly (like that!) Effy has a pet hate for 'Lestrange''s, so just, spell it properly (or...well, the French way!)

Your applications shouldbe titled as so: LASTNAME, first middle. EX: POTTER, harry james

Post your application in Pending, make an indication if it isn't finished, then we will look over the board at least once a day

Please, do your best in your profile/application as it is how we will be able to tell how-RP literate you are, and whether or not you will be able to keep up with what we ask of you (which really isn't much!)

So, you're a Quidditch player are you? Simply put in the application for your character that you are a Quidditch player, somewhere in the likes section, and mention which position they play. There's also a Quidditch Team list in the Claims board- so post in there please!

Do not post in any IC boards until your application has been approved. Not hard, we are on every day to look over this stuff. If we do not get to it in two days, you may contact one of us to remind us, especially if one of us asked you to make changes to your application.


Plot && Sub-Plots:

If your characters are involved in the main plot, then they really have got to be active. Every character is important and to get this thing moving we need would like everyone to be on daily if possible.

If your character is involved in a sub-plot then the same general idea, they need to be active to keep those plots going. They are all interesting enough that they should not be too hard to play out. Use your imaginations and come to an admin if you need help.

Have an idea for a sub-plot/plot? Submit it to an admin in a PM, and we will review it, and if we like it we will add it, and add the canon's to the list and credit it to you.



Out of Character:

Be kind to everyone, we are all trying to have fun here.

Don’t swear a lot; especially toward anyone.

Signatures shouldn't stretch the boards. The maximum size for them is 500 px width

When your in the OOC boards, have fun, and go crazy but remember to stay as literate as possible. Don't go from amazingly literate to tlking lyk dis. Kay?

The Admins:

Respect all the admins equally. If you think we are unfair, then talk to us, we are reasonable about most things. Obviously the rules are to be followed but circumstances can change.

Plase don't bug the admins. We have lives too, and sometimes we can't get online very often. Trust us, and be nice please!

Role Playing:

If a thread is specifically for two or so characters put [closed] or the characters name in the brackets. If it is for anyone to join put [open] in the brackets, or in the title somewhere specifically.

Okay. I got an email from Proboards saying "ProBoards does not allow adult content, and this includes role-playing adult themes," about this part of the rules. So, no adult themes please, you probably know what is and what's not appropriate!

This is a LITERATE site, and for each post to be at least two GOOD paragraphs long is not that hard. If you cannot come up with two paragraphs make sure it is at least a minimum of 150 words.
