elisa didn't know why she was subjecting herself to this, really. she knew it would only cause more problems in the future then it did cure things. but, her dad's letters had made a week spot for the girl who had never really had to have anyone in her life. she needed to see her dad. she couln't live without someone out of school to talk to, even an aunt she would be happy with, she thought as she leaned against the window on the train. ofcourse, her foster parents were nice, but they weren't connected as she had been with her father. she missed the whole, sane man she'd grown up with and she'd even begun to confound herself into thinking things would change when he saw her. maybe he'd go back to normal? not likely, but worth a shot, right? it depended on alot to what this would due to elisa, the last visit had sprouted the nightmares that had woken her up even today. elisa was a strong girl, she could take the nightmares and even the real thing, which was why she was going into st. mungos with her head held high, but the after-effects were the thing that would worry most. she sighed to herself, groaning into sleep as she rode the hogwarts express away from her school and back into the world.
the room of big white walls towered over elisa when she walked down them, to the familiar room that she'd visited once? twice? she'd lost count with the years. two doctors flanked her on both sides, she had no clue why they were her, honestly. she'd never thought her father as someone capable of hurting her, but it wasn't like she hadn't noticed the change in his letters. each one had screamed more and more of death eater destruction. but still, she was his daughter; that had to count for something. when she walked in the room, she noticed the doctors still behind her. she'd have to ask them to leave when she wanted a private moment, but then, she saw her father and that thought ran from her mind. his hair had grown to his shoulders in waves, and his face was unshaven and scruffy. feather light crescent scars were on his arm from where he had dug his fingers nails harshly into his skin. elisa winced as the image erupted in her mind, picturing him actually doing it. next, she noticed that his arms were being held by invisble magic, permanently restraining himself from doing more damage to others as well as his own person. elisa was scared. she'd never even imagined it would be half this bad. he lifted his head, seeing her for the first time an expression of pure horror written on his face. he lunged against the chains, screaming out, "stay away from my daughter you murderers!" this was definitely more then she could take at the ripe age of thirteen. she backed away, tears rolling down her face for the first time of years and ran into the doctors, whom she was glad was there. they restrained him harder and shuffled elisa out the door, apologizing flusteredly.
elisa woke with a jump, just as the train came to a gentle stop. what made the nightmare worse was it wasn't a figment of her imagination, it was a fully fledged memory. her worst memory to be precise. she groaned again when she sat up, looking at her hands. she'd always pictured those crescent marks on her wrists too, but no, just the silver glaw that constantly emanated from her skin. she grabbed her small bag and flipped it over her shoulder, strolling out of the train before even looking to see if anyone else was there. she didn't expect so, this wasn't a break. it was an unscheduled trip back to the wizarding world for whatever reason. she honestly didn't care, as long as they weren't going the same place she did or saw her. she hated being gawked at like she couldn't see them. the curse of her heritage is what she always called it. elisa was excited to be out and about, though. that damn school got boring after a while. though, yesterday she'd jumped into the lake with nothing but her undies on. a risk was something she'd been craving lately for god-knows-why reasons. she walked, thought it could be taken like a prance to st mungos, talking to the mannequin quietly since she didn't want to attract notice. she walked through the glass and into the familiar hospital, sighing as she did so. who liked hospitals? mostly nobody, but elisa hated them for obvious reasons. she walked up to the reception desk, groaning lightly when she saw the man behind it. it wasn't that she knew him, just his gender that made her upset. when she reached the front of the line he smiled flirtatiously at her, which she so courteously ignored and checked herself in without a word.
elisa had been there enough that most of the doctors recognized her by now, even if she had grown up alot in the past two years. they smiled wearily at her, wondering if her temper was that of a veela's. it wasn't, but she could get pretty angry if sufficiently ticked off. she walked torwards the halls, finding her fathers room but not going up to it, just yet. he'd been put in a holding cell, so she couldn't go in but could peer at him through a window. she felt so degraded as she thought of it. she leaned against the wall, opposite another open room. she couldn't bear to look in the window, but that didn't stop her father from looking out at her. she cringed as he pounded on the door, screaming her name. she buried her face in her hands, moaning in distress. she muffled her noised though, when she heard someone's voices from the other room. she wasn't going to take some strangers pity, so she concealed her feelings for that moment.
