Lily was on cloud nine ever since she had been teamed up with Scorpius to find that student. It had worked out better then she thought. Sure, they hadn't kissed nor had a romantic moment yet, but she knew that would happen any time soon now. She wouldn't have to wait much longer. Lily had been day dreaming all day. Fortunately it was a saturday, so no classes, but she was in the library supposed to be working on a report on one of magic's creatures. She had chosen the dragon, all species of them, since they were her favourite animal by far. Closely followed by all species and variations magically of horse. Even the one that could only be seen by those who had been close to death. Not that she could see them yet, but she couldn't wait to be able to. Her mind was elsewhere though. She was too lost in the night before where she had finally been able to strike a real relationship with Scorpius. Sure, it was just friends for now, and secret friends, but at the base of every romantic relationship as well as true love was friendship. She was finally on the first step to everything she believed in. Isobel would no longer be able to doubt the love she and Scorpius could share now. Not when she told her what she was going to tell her.
Lily couldn't stop smiling either. Patience always paid off, and what happened the other night just solidified that in Lily's mind. She just had to wait, and eventually she would get her chance. Lily was sure when her chance came she would not screw it up. No. Until then she would be the best secret friend ever, and hopefully he'd end up falling for her. The feelings would hopefully no longer be unrequited, and no one would be able to say she was insane for believing in what she had. When a Potter believed in something, they believed - fiercely, and nothing would stop them. After all, James had become a great Quidditch player when he had believed he would. Harry had defeated Voldemort when he believed he would. Why couldn't Lily be with Scorpius when she believed she would? Fortunately she also had her mother's ability to keep her feelings secret until the opportune time. If she hadn't, she would have been the laughing stock not only of the school but she may have also pushed Scorpius further away, and he would have had more to pick on her about. Sure, deep down she knew he would never seek her out as any kind of entanglement. She knew if she just openly confessed how she felt before the other night he would have humiliated her in the worst way possible. However, by keeping it hidden and waiting until the best moment to reveal it Lily knew she had more of a chance. She hadn't found the best moment yet, but she knew she would know it when it happened. Probably after Scorpius confessed he liked her...
Lily's thoughts soon halted as she felt something wet on her fingers. Frowning she glanced down to notice the pot of ink had spilled and was now all over her fingers as well as the sheet of parchment she had been writing on. She made a sound of fustration, drying her fingers onto her cloak before she took it off. She then picked up the ink pot, setting it the right way, before using her cloak to absorb the runaway ink. Fortunately it didn't take too long to get it all off, and it didn't stain the desk. However the parchment she had been writing on was ruined. Sighing, she crumpled it up before throwing it into the nearby bin. Lily then pulled out a fresh piece of parchment from the pile, dabbed her quil into the ink point, and wrote the title again; My report into the wonderful world of dragons, by Lily Potter. Another thing Lily had always dreamed of was getting her own dragon egg. She really wanted to have one of her very own. She really wanted to raise, train, and love a dragon of her very own. Of course she had never told anyone this, yet, but it was her only deep desire besides Scorpius, so far.
Hearing her name being called Lily glanced up to see Isobel. A happy smile crossed her full lips as she watched Issy. She couldn't wait to tell her the news. She was practically bouncing in her seat as it was. Isobel would regret being so hesitant about her and Scorpius being a couple now. After all, Lily wanted Issy to be just as excited as her about the feelings she and Scorpius could share. That was what a friend was supposed to do. At least, in Lily's opinion. Grinning like a cheshire cat she waved to Issy before her gaze fell back on the desk filled with parchment and books on dragons. All the books were opened up of course. Various breeds were displayed along with all the information known about them. She could bet it felt absolutely amazing to ride on the back of a dragon when it was flying. Far better then any broomstick in Lily's opinion. Glancing up she greeted Isobel brightly.
"Hey, have I got news for you!"
