Ok so it had finally happened. His life had officially was turned upside down, and now he was going to be thrown into detention, all because he had a little spat with one of the ghosts. He hadn't meant to offend the ghost, it had just been the right moment to do the wrong thing. He was sick of being thrown into detention all because he had taken the advice of the dead.. even though it deemed to be good advice. Peeves wasn't the best one to go to for advice, but now that he as dead he gave the best advice of any of the ghosts, and Caedon had always gone to him when he needed something to go along with his pranking. This prank had been taken to the edge.. literally. He had left one lonely little Ravenclaw clinging to the railing of the building. No need to take worry because Caedon had made sure the boy was safely back on solid ground and not hovering in mid air. The student hadn't been in any real danger because Caedon wasn't the type to leave someone hanging in mid sentence, so the boy was safe from Caedon as long as he didn't push anyone else onto the edge. Caedon wasn't in the mood to be bothered with anything that dealt with getting in trouble, and yet he knew that the professor who Peeves had blabbed to would no doubt be on his tail before the day was out. So now the seventh year Gryffindor had to find a place to hide, and inside the castle was most deffinetly out. There were students everywhere, and prefects roaming the halls just waiting to send professors after the unsuspecting student. The detention master was no doubt waiting for him at this very moment, waiting for him to spend his night writing lines. No.. he decided that he would rather be outdoors where he could have a better escape plan, so the courtyard seemed like the best place for him to lay low.
As he came out of the castle, hands in pockets as he walked swiftly, he looked around to see that no one was outdoors, not even a screaming little Hufflepuff being chased by a group of older Slytherins. It was quiet. Too quiet. Just then from out of nowhere, Peeves shot right threw him, cackling madly and screaming something about a prefect being right behind him. Not thinking clearly on what he was going to do, he jumped the lower wall and hid in the bushes as he listened to the prefect run right passed him, and dart after the floating apparition. Breathing out a breath of relief, Caedon rose to his full height and turned the corner, walking away from the prefect and his ghoulish companion. Caedon pushed along the dirt with his feet, walking passed the rumpous and into the courtyard where he could be alone. He hadn't meant to be alone on a beautiful day like today, but it seemed that he needed some time to think to himself. He could see the lake from where he was, his frame sitting in the middle of the vacant courtyard. It was a Hogsmeade weekend and everyone but him seemingly was down in the wizarding town buying candies or smooching in the tea shop. That was one thing he longed for: a girlfriend. He had one once, a long time ago.. or what seemed like a long time ago. She was a year older than him, and at the time had been keen on getting one thing from him in any way that she could. But that relationship was down the drain now and he was a free man. She had graduated last year with top marks, something in which he was striving for in all aspects of his schoolastic career.
Sighing briefly to himself, he stretched out his arms above his head and laid down on one of the benches. It was a little shorter than he, but it was a good snoozing spot. Yawning to himself, he decided to take the moments he was free and sleep for a few minutes before he had to find another hiding spot.

together we'd float, so delicately but that was back when we could talk about anything
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Sitting listening to a teacher going on and on was not something that the blonde was fond of. Maybe last year she would have been fine with it, but no Analeigh had had enough of this place. It was getting worse each year. Sure, the year before may have been okay but everything with the illness just destroyed everything, and it destroyed some people as well. Okay, the Slytherin may not have lost anyone during the hard times, but she sure as hell had lost a few friends…that were not taken away by death. It was hard being the person that Analeigh was. Most of the time she was so closed off that it was just crazy to believe she wanted to open up to people and be a different person, but it was just so difficult. There were few students that Analeigh could have talked to, but really they were all gone. Disappeared and had nothing to do with her anymore. That was the main reason that Analeigh did not want friends, they were there one second and the next. They were gone. It hurt to lose people and the blonde was someone that did not like change, at all. She would rather have things remaining the same, but really that was going to be boring, right? Everyone needed variety in life and what Analeigh needed were constant people; people who would stay in her life and not leave her in a flash.
Family was one thing that Analeigh did not care about, as of now. Maybe the girl would grow to care about them sooner rather than later. She had her twin sister around Hogwarts – of course she was not her identical twin. The Slytherin had only found out about her last year as well – last year was highly eventful. Juliette was a Ravenclaw and Analeigh had no idea what she was doing right now or where she was in fact. That sounded like bad of her, right? It most definitely did, but she did not trust her own sister. It was not the fact that she did not want to trust her; it was because Analeigh did not know how she could trust the Ravenclaw. Jules being her sister people would have thought Analeigh would have been close to her, but that was not going to happen…for a while anyway. The blonde did not like to have others close to her; it made her feel slightly weaker. Sure, she was trying to gain more friends this term…but she did not want to become attached to anyone. Being attacked to others only caused misery and suffering. Analeigh’s plan was to steer clear of the idea of attachment; so far it was working perfectly. The girl had made a few friends ever since she had come back to the school, and she was happy about that.
These friends that the Slytherin thought about were probably out somewhere, maybe they had gone out to the town or were hanging around in the Slytherin Common Room – which was where Analeigh liked the best. The room was full of other Slytherin’s and there was no sight of the other annoying houses. Analeigh was not that hateful against the other houses, but she did want to keep with her own crowd. Hanging out with kids from the likes of Gryffindor would only make sure that Analeigh got grief from her friends. She was not in the mood to be told by her friends what to do, and normally Analeigh did not let anyone tell her what to do or say – she was her own person. Analeigh may have had one or two friends from the rival houses but they were not friendships that were extremely close.
Sighing quietly the young Slytherin walked on the warm grass, a small but vague smile appeared on her delicate face. Smiling was a rarity for Analeigh, but when she did smile she had the most beautiful smile ever. People needed to see that Analeigh more often. The blonde had it in her to be a nice person, but this ‘nice’ person never came out…well, it came out when it wanted to. Analeigh walked further along the courtyard and stopped slowly as she saw someone in the distance. The boy had jumped the small wall and was now hiding behind some bushes. Analeigh smirked lightly as she watched him for a second or two that was until she decided to head in the direction the stranger was in. By the time Analeigh had reached the boy he was lying on a bench with his eyes closed. For a split second the Slytherin just stood there, until she had the courage to speak up. ”I don’t think this is the best hiding place to be honest” her soft voice spoke out with a mini smirk on her face. ”I mean whoever you were getting away from could probably find you here. You know just saying” Analeigh said as she looked down at him. Now that she really looked at him Analeigh was realising how hot he really was. Now she just had to hope that he was a Slytherin.

By the time the Slytherin had reached him, Caedon was off in his own little dreamland, letting out a slight snore occassionally, whether out of sheer boredom or the fact there was not anything to do on a Saturday afternoon.. except dodge prefects and ghosts. That seemed to be a hobby as of late. The fat friar was a good conversationalist, despite the fact he was dead. The lady from Ravenclaw wasn't that bad to look at.. get a hold of yourself Caedon.. She's a dead person and you're gawking over her!! Nearly headless Nick wasn't that much of a good talker. He mainly just hovered in place and tilted his head from side to side so the students could get a good look as to how bad his injury really was when he had died. Now the pirate from Slytherin was a good talker, and a good storyteller. Caedon would spend hours outside the dungeons following the pirate around, getting story after story as the ghost told them so eloquently. What else was there for a ghost to do? Not many students would take time out of their day to talk to a ghost and it was interesting learning the history of the castle as well as the dead beings inside of it. As for sitting and listening to the teachers speak, Caedon often put his best 'I'm listening intently' face on as he doodled in his notebook or on a spare piece of parchment. Caedon was quite the budding artist, often taking his time out of his day to sketch a student or two, or some random animal that happened his way when he was outdoors. He had at one point in time had the chance to sketch a beautiful picture of a unicorn which he had given to a Gryffindor girl that he had had a crush on since they began school back in first year. He had since lost interest in her, but he had noticed that she kept the picture that he had given her on the front of a journal in which she often wrote in whenever he had seen her. Lately he had been reserved and had taken to writing stories or poems, just for his own amusement. But other than that, he was dodging prefects.. and ghosts...
His family wasn't much to talk about. His little sisters wrote him constantly about how much they wanted out of their private school and that they would much rather come to Hogwarts to be with him. He was close with his siters, but he hadn't believed that they would remain close if they came to live at Hogwarts with him. They would be in seperate houses (heaven bidding) and he wouldn't have much of a chance to see them. For the time being they just had to get used to being almost a full continent away from him, and his parents had to give him his free space as well. At least once a week did he receive a letter from home. Apparently his cousin had been found out as a Death Eater and now was serving a sentence in Azkaban. His parents wanted to know if he wanted visitation rights. Yeah, like that'll ever happen. His cousin and him never really got along all that well, seeing as how he was nearly five years older than Caedon. From the moment they met they had never really got along. Caedon wished the man well, but that was practically all the love he could give. He did, afterall, go against the order as well as all he knew and loved. The Gryffindor did have simpathy for the man's family, seeing as how his wife had just given birth to two adorable twins. Caedon hadn't had the chance to see them yet, but they were cute from the pictures that the wife had sent he and his family during the previous summer. He suddenly realized he missed his family, more than anyone could ever miss their family. He had gotten used to this coming to Hogwarts for nearly ten months, and not seeing his family for that amount of time, but despite the fact his sisters were pains in the rear end sometimes, he did miss them.
It was a few more moments that he had to register the fact that he was no longer alone. When she spoke to him, he gave a start and opened his eyes, looking over to see quite an attractive young woman standing there before him. Why he wasn't undressing her with his hands instead of his eyes... Well. We'll save that for maybe a later date. Shall we?? He shook his head, coming back to reality and to the moment where everything wasn't as flesh covered. He sat up, scooching over and motioning for her to have a seat. He hadn't an idea what house she was in, but he was certain she wasn't in Gryffindor. Being the extreme manwich that he was, he knew most every girl by name and, some of them anyways, by bra size. He mentally slapped himself for that one. Lately his mind had been in the gutter and he knew why, but he wasn't going to tell anyone his dirty little secret. "Hmm-hmm," he said, nodding his head in a symbol that he udnerstood what she was saying, "so you're saying that you have a better hiding place for me, eh?" He said, sounding serious at first and then laughing lightly. "I'm sorry, how explicitly rude of me. My name is Caedon, Caedon Rothshrine," He said to her, extending his hand for her to shake. together we'd float, so delicately but that was back when we could talk about anything
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - At first Analeigh just stared at the stranger that was known as Caedon, she did not even begin to say anything to him. All she did was smile at his comment. The Slytherin had no idea where she could hide him and well, that was because there were hardly any places to take him. The courtyard used to have lots of trees and bushes but now there was nothing left. To Analeigh this place looked like a dump and she could not care any less. The school was not something that she was worried about, if it was burning down then Analeigh would feel nothing. There was nothing here that made her extremely happy. The teachers were pains and all they ever did was give people grief. If you started to fall into some sort of day dream while in a lesson then they would be at you like a crazy pack of dogs. Analeigh did not bother with anyone around the school, there were days that she could walk around and just watch people as they did their everyday daily routines. It was actually quite amusing doing that. No one around the school was the same as the next person. Analeigh found that to be good, she hated people that tried to be the same as the others. To her, they were fake and needed to sort their lives out.
That sounded rather bitter of the blonde and this did not bother her at all. Not everyone liked every person that they met and Analeigh sure as hell did not take a shine to all the people that have ever talked to her. This was mainly because they were not Slytherin’s but right now Analeigh was talking to someone that was not a Slytherin, but of course she could not put her finger on which house he belonged to. Caedon certainly did not seem like Hufflepuff material, they were like the wimps of the whole school and they did not attract her. However, this guy he did attract her and there was something about him that proved that he was not a little wimp, so that was the Hufflepuff’s scored out of this. ”Mmhm. I guess I could find you somewhere else to hide … but I’d have to think about it first” Analeigh said with a smirk upon her face. Her hazel eyes looked down at the space next to Caedon and smiled before taking a seat next to him and turned her body slightly to look at him better.
Analeigh was a total flirt sometimes and she knew that. Flirting was something that everyone did, although there were some people that did not even realise they were doing it. Analeigh was like that occasionally and she did not mind that about herself. She thought that it was great as she did not even need to try and flirt…although flirting was effortless anyway. The Slytherin felt sorry for those few who did not know how to flirt at all. It was such a shame. Analeigh shook her head as she pushed her thoughts to the back of her head. This happened quite a lot to the blonde, she would be thinking about one thing and then all of a sudden something else would pop up into her head.
”Caedon? … Interesting name … its nice” Analeigh commented on his name and of course she – for once – was not trying to be rude about his name. She genuinely thought that it was a nice name and she had never heard of it before. Usually when Analeigh met someone the first thing that she would criticize would be the name and that was really not friendly. However, this was probably because when Analeigh was younger most of the kids at her school would make fun of her name…although it was hardly a strange name. Many of the things that were said to the blonde when she was a little young really did rub off on her – so this was one of the excuses as of why Analeigh was like this. ”The names Analeigh … and if we’re being formal … Analeigh Avery” the Slytherin took his hand and shook it. Analeigh was actually quite amazed that he had very strong hands. ”So … who you hiding from?” she asked curiously. It was the weekend so he was definitely not attempting to hide from any of the teachers, unless of course he had caused trouble and one of the teachers witnessed it. Whatever he had done, Analeigh was just interested in this guy now.

Caedon watched as the Slytherin smiled, not even speaking at first, but instead looking at him and eyeing him like a piece of candy.. or atleast that was his impression as to what she was thinking at the time. He did notice that she had smiled at him, something that he appreciated. During the few moments of silence, Caedon took the time to notice how nicely she smiled and how simple a thing it was to smile. Some people that he had seen showed too much gumline when they smiled, but she showed none of the sort. It was a simple smile, kind and honest. That's how smiles should have been. At the present moment he was thinking about where she could hide him, and all the naughty things he might have done. He kept them to himself as he examined her facial features, taking note the brightness in her eyes and how deep blue they were. It was like he was lost in a sea that she kept close to her, and something in which he could not, and did not, escape. He liked the simplicity of the moment, taking a moment to note the time by the position of the sun. By this time of day the courtyard was shaded, shielded from the heat of the day. Of course it was still empty. The only two people here were the Slytherin and the Gryffindor, just idly chatting away as if they had no care in the world. Caedon had thought that the prefect would be back this way, but it was known that Peeves never did travel the same place twice in a row. He would most likely be by here later and the prefect would be long gone. That would be all well and good, because he would be gone as well, most likely taking his time to work on the assignments due the following week. He had never believed in doing homework ahead of time, and his professors were somewhat linient to the fact that some of his assignments over the years had been late. His mother had been diagnosed with some rare condition that required regular treatment, and often caused her to go into a state of remission, letting her see her family. Caedon loved his mother and never missed one of these to be with her.
But that was a tale for some other day. His mother's condition had proven to get better with time in previous patients and both of his parents knew he couldn't keep missing school when it was so important to his career if he ever wanted to be an auror. For the moment he had school, and that was the most important thing he had to do now. Yet he had still taken time out of his day to socialize with the restless spirits of Hogwarts, finding Myrtle to be the most entertaining one that he had ever seen. She had shown up in the boy's bathroom one day when he was taking a bath, and apparently this was a common thing for her to do. He would be just minding his own business when a ghost literally appears in his lap, staring at his chest and giggling uncontrollably. If there was one thing that made him happy here at Hogwarts it was the women, spirit or otherwise. He would take time out of his day to speak with anyone, ghost or not, and just spark up a conversation. Or the other thing that made him happy was being at the Shrieking Shack where he would spend hours just practicing his magic abilities and mastering what there was he needed to master for an upcoming lesson. He wasn't much of a fan when it came to book work, but the hands on stuff was easy and far more educational than anything he could learn in a book.
He sighed slightly to himself. The position of the sun meant at was at least around two o'clock in the afternoon and that meant that he was slowly running out of weekend to go down to Hogsmeade. He had meant to go last weekend, but he hadn't anyone to go with him so he stayed indoors practicing wand motions up in the Gryffindor boy's dormitory. Now he was quite the bored one, and needed something to do. Thank heavens for people who know when to show up at the right time. He knew that without the girl to keep him company, he would be trying to track down the prefect and give him something to remember Caedon by. And now he was thinking on something completely different when he had an attractive young woman in front of him. Now he had to see if she would still talk to him if she knew he was from Gryffindor. "Your name is nice too. Hmmm.." He paused a moment. "I haven't seen you in the commonroom, you aren't from Gryffindor are you?" He halfway questioned and halfway stated because he knew most of the Gryffindor house by name, if only their first. He placed his worries aside because he wasn't at all prejudiced when it came to houses or blood, even though he himself was a pureblood. It didn't matter if someone was pure or not, all that mattered was if they had a good attitude and personality. Never judge a book by its cover, and all that.

together we'd float, so delicately but that was back when we could talk about anything
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Communicating with people used to be one thing that Analeigh hated doing; she would get really annoyed if someone came up to her and just randomly started talking to her. It would have been even worse if it had been a little first year. Analeigh hated those first years with a passion, whenever they walked by her she would try to walk in some other direction or if she felt like it, Analeigh would walk straight into them and watch them tumble. It used to be amusing whenever that happened but nowadays it just was not the same anyone. Plus the blonde was not the kind of person to push around kids that were younger than her. If Analeigh wanted to pick on anyone, then it would be someone that was the same size as her. What kind of challenge would she even get if she was to push around a first year? Firstly it would have been too easy and a bit pathetic to be honest and pathetic was something that Analeigh was not. Sure, she may have come across as a mean blonde who did not want to talk to anyone. However, that was not the case because right now she was talking to someone and she was not wishing she was not there. This was quite rare for the girl; normally Analeigh would have walked away from now – simply because she did not know of Caedon before, but she had decided to stay and talk to him.
Finally the Slytherin discovered what house he belonged to. Hearing the word Gryffindor only made Analeigh smirk slightly. Of course she was most definitely not a Gryffindor; she did not hate the house or anything extreme like that. No, Analeigh just was not so fond of the house. Thinking like that was quite fair for a Slytherin. Gryffindor was the opposite house to Slytherin so it was clear that they were not going to like each other. Well, it was not totally clear because Analeigh did not dislike Caedon. In fact he seemed like a pretty decent guy and plus he was hot. ”Nope. You wouldn’t have seen me in the Common Room” the young blonde stated as began to twirl her hair. This was quite a habit of the blondes but she had not done it for a while. However, now it seemed like her little habit was starting all over again. ”I’m a Slytherin” Analeigh continued as she told Caedon –with pride- what house she belonged to. The blonde was extremely proud to belong to such a house. Of course it may have had its bad influences in that past but she was still happy to be a Slytherin. Analeigh felt that the house was one of the most united at the school.
”But yeah you didn’t answer my question” the blonde spoke while raising her legs onto the bench and sitting with her legs crossed. Analeigh was still quite curious about what he was doing and she was a little annoyed that he did not answer her question. The blonde was more than demanding sometimes and she did not like it when others did not listen to her. There were a few times where the Slytherin had been ignored and she had not reacted so well. Analeigh may have been quite small but she was quite fiery also. If she had to look after herself and fight then she could definitely do that. Many people thought that Analeigh was just a blonde girl who was unable to handle things, but boy were they wrong. Okay, so Caedon may not have actually ignored her, he could have just not heard Analeigh, meaning that he could not have answered her question.
Analeigh thought that she would try again. ”Who you running from? And well whatever you did…is it worth me finding a better hiding place for you?” the blonde teased with a grin on her face. Of course she was not really going to help him find a place to hide because really he did not need to be hidden. Plus he looked like the kind of guy that would be able to stand his own ground if something did come his way. There were not many guys like that around Hogwarts and to be honest Analeigh thought it sucked. The guys that were needed were the ones that knew what they were doing and well, ones who were not wimps. If there was anything that Analeigh hated were wimps. She would not stand people like that. The blonde may have thought like that but she had not always been the strong and independent girl that she was right now. A few years ago the young Slytherin would have been too nervous to even talk to a guy, and now here she was feeling really confident with herself.

Post by caedon lane rothshrine on Oct 19, 2010 5:37:41 GMT
For the last few weeks Caedon had been hard at work on his studies, so it was nice to get to talk to someone for a change. If there was one thing he liked doing, it was having a coversation with someone and this conversation was no different. For the life of him if he didn't have people to talk to he would be rather bored, and the outdoors would be all that he had left. Talking to Analeigh was proving to be quite interesting. He had learned she was of Slytherin house, and not Gryffindor. He didn't mind in the least, mainly because he didn't much care for the battle that waged between Gryffindor and Slytherin. It didn't matter who was best. That could also be said for muggles who were not of magical birth. He hadn't understood the hype that went around with being pureblood. Pure and impure blooded people should have been equal, at least in his eyes. He had yet to treat a Slytherin different from someone in his own house, but still Slytherins had it in their minds that being Gryffindor was equal to that of being muggle born. For a Slytherin to call one of his friends a mudblood set him off, however. He knew it was just hype, but sometimes he couldn't help himself and often threw the first punch. Caedon wasn't much of a confrontational person, but he would do what had to be done and damn the consequences. He wasn't going to sit by and watch as his friends were demeaned and ridiculed for not being what Slytherin called pure. Picking on first years was also quite amusing, though he hadn't really done anything lately that would qualify as picking on first years. There was the time in his fifth year where he had taken a first year up to the astronomy tower and dangle the kid off the edge for a good half hour before one passing professor had caught onto him. Needless to say Caedon was disciplined, even though the professor of the time had given him a wink.
Caedon had never liked Slytherin house because of all the gits and women that gave themselves a bad name. But that was the only substantial reasons that he gave for not liking Slytherin. Others would say he didn't care for the house because there had been a girl that he liked two years ago that he would have asked out, but turned out she didn't really like men. So Slytherins were either gits, hoes or just plain homosexual. And that was enough to make him gag. For the moment Caedon was choosing to ignore her question, mainly because her appearance had left him quite the distracted young fellow. He was about to ask her if she had a boyfriend when she asked the question again, somewhat showing that she was annoyed he had ignored her. It seemed he had gotten her curiousity up, and seeing that she was getting rather annoyed, he flushed slightly, having not meant to get her upset, he merely just wanted to have a conversation with her. She was one of the few women who hadn't slapped him for mentioning that she could have found him a better hiding place. This wasn't the first time he had gotten in trouble and needed a place to hide. All the good hiding places most of the time were occupied by people who were alot more serious about hiding than him, which sort of upset him that they couldn't find some other place to hide themselves. Caedon brought himself back to the present, shunning his views of Slytherin aside for the moment.
"No you don't have to find me a better hiding place. It really isn't worth it," he started, looking passed her for a second to see if the prefect was coming his way or not. When he had seen that the prefect wasn't there and that it was safe, he continued, "oh I played an innocent little prank and now a prefect is after me, headed by Peeves," he stated, laughing lightly. The laugh had faded, but the smile remained, flashing innocently in her direction. All this time he had sat in the courtyard speaking with her and neither the prefect or the ghost could be seen coming back this way. "So, Slytherin eh? Is it true that most of your house is nothing but alot of slimmy gits? Or is it just a summer thing?" He said, plain in his joking. He laughed afterwards. "If you want to punch me, your more than welcome. Just don't slap my face. I need my pretty boy looks to get by in this school," he said, his eyes dancing with mischief. This was turning out to be quite the interesting conversation, but whether it was a good thing or not to be talking to a Slytherin, the Gryffindor was still unsure. She seemed nice, and a good talker, but then again looks could definetly be deceiving. He gave her a simple smile, the mischief in his eyes still remaining and added to it was a boyhood glimmer, a sign that the boy would take time in growing up.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - ”Ah Peeves. Yeah I really hate him” Analeigh told the Gryffindor as she frowned lightly. There had been many times where she had been walking past him in the halls; he would just hang around people like a bad small. Did he even know how annoy he was? Maybe that was it. Peeves probably knew that he annoyed people whenever he would float near them and talk and talk until … well he never was short of a conversation so Peeves could go on forever. That was the thing that really annoyed the blonde. She wanted to make him quiet but she had no idea to shut him up. However, Analeigh was just lucky that she had not seen him in a while. The last time the Slytherin had seen the poltergeist he was rambling on about some random thing. If Analeigh had to try and remember then it was something about Slytherins. He was just complaining about them, and well it was not a good idea complaining about them to a Slytherin. The blonde had not said much to him; she just rolled her eyes and attempted to walk away from him. It was not the easy getting away from Peeves. You could say that he was the guy version of Moaning Myrtle. Now that was just another person that got under the blondes skin. Of course somehow she was not as bad as Peeves, but still as annoying. The first time that Myrtle and Analeigh had met was of course in First Year. From that day the Slytherin hated the girl but it was mainly her voice that made Analeigh want to hit her…even though she was a ghost.
The blonde pushed her thoughts of the bothersome Peeves and Myrtle to the back of her mind and concentrated on the guy in front of her. After hearing what he had said she stared at him for a second before parting her mouth to speak. ”Slimmy gits?” she repeated what Caedon had said. He was joking, right? Analeigh was not really going to agree with what he has said. ”You better hope that you’re joking” she stated while putting her full attention onto the Gryffindor. Of course she knew that he was joking because he would not really want to be saying that in front of a Slytherin. Normally if that had been someone that Analeigh had not been speaking to but had just walked up to her…then they would have definitely gotten a mouthful from the blonde. She did not like others saying bad things about her house or her friends. Analeigh was someone that liked to defend her friends and right now that was not needed. The blonde decided that she would just play along with Caedon. ”Hmm. I don’t think I’ll give you the pleasure of hitting you right now…You know I’ll just have to get you when you least expect it” the young Slytherin teased the Gryffindor and laughed slightly. The blondes laugh had the sound of an innocent Hufflepuff but she was definitely not like an innocent badger. Analeigh was so different from them, even if her little giggle did not sound Slytherin-like. But what was she really supposed to do? Cackle? That was never going to happen.
”And I can’t promise it won’t be the face” she joked while taking her eyes off the Gryffindor and looked around the courtyard. Okay, so Analeigh knew that the courtyard was quiet today but she did not think that it was deserted. It was just the two of them here and to Analeigh that was quite shocking. She would have expected more students hanging around here…however; they probably had better things to be doing. Analeigh would have complained about being bored but right now she was getting amused by Caedon. She liked talking to him, even though he was a Gryffindor. Analeigh was someone that did not like Gryffindors but she did talk to quite a lot of them. Now that was odd. It was just the way that Analeigh was. If the blonde found someone interesting then she did not care about the house they were in. It came to the personality and how the person carried them self and Analeigh thought that Caedon was a cool guy.

At this point Caedon was thinking beyond the moment, his thoughts traveling back to when he had first started his pranks upon students and ghosts alike. Pranking a ghost was rather difficult, but not impossible. From the moment Caedon came upon Peeves one rainy afternoon the two of them had been in contact since then, whether he was pranking the ghost or another student, it rarely mattered what the circumstance. The Gryffindor just knew that Peeves, once you had him in your sights, it was hard to get rid of him. Peeves was a pest at best of times, and an annoyance the rest of the time. But Caedon knew that the ghost wouldn’t pass on a chance to watch a prank taking place, hence the reason he was here. Peeves was a relatively easy ghost to track down, even though he was see through. All the Gryffindor had to do was start a prank and Peeves would be there in all his laughing splendor. The whole process was like clock work. The ghost was pretty predictable, but lately it was getting rather hard to create a prank that would lure in the unsuspecting ghost. At this point Caedon sighed to himself. He knew that Peeves would be back, and it was then that he had to have a really good prank to get his attention, which wasn’t that difficult. But at the moment he was not thinking of the ghost or of any pranking that he could be doing. He was thinking of the Slytherin in front of him and how good she would look next to him in bed.. stop thinking of that, perv was the nagging voice inside his head, the voice most often belonging to his mother. He looked at her, silently wishing that she was in his house. Maybe then she would have some interest in him. He would admit that she was cute, but he wasn’t sure that she was his type. One could dream.
Caedon was stirred from his thoughts when she had commented about what he had said. Oh great way to gain her friendship, smarty pants he thought as a look of grimace came over his face. At the remark he simply put on his best smile, hoping that she wouldn’t pulverize him for calling the members of her house slimy gits. He brushed a hand over his hair, making it stick up slightly as a bit of breeze came over him. He looked up at the clouds, taking note that it looked as though it might rain. A bit of rain would do the grounds some good, he thought silently to himself. Scratching his head, he leaned backward on the bench, lifting up each one of his legs and resting them on either side of the bench, his gaze casting back at her, his head cocked slightly like a little puppy dog looking at his master in question. The smile did not leave his features, and the mischief remained in his eyes. “I’m sorry for referring to your house mates in such a manner.. Should I instead refer to them as sore losers?” He said with a look of dancing mischief. He prepared himself to be slapped, or punched, tightening his grip with his legs on the bench, readying for the worst. “I’m only joking of course. Just because Slytherin loses a game or two to Gryffindor, doesn’t make them sore losers,” he spoke, replacing the mischief with a look of seriousness for once. When he talked of his most favorite pastime, he did so with a hint that he loved it more than anything in the world, which was true. He had no girlfriend to call his own, so why not be in love with the game?
Just as he was about to add something to his words, a large snowy owl landed on one of the pillars, looking down at its master and the young Slytherin, a mouse held firmly in its beak. Upon seeing the owl, Caedon smiled, extending his arm out for the bird to land on. The bird placed the mouse on the pillar and soared down to her master, her beak opening for a delighted ‘who’ sound. She nudged Caedon’s hand affectionately, beak clicking slightly. Her large eyes were soon cast in the direction of Analeigh, their intensity showing as she opened her beak and clicked it once. Smiling at his bird, Caedon looked at Analeigh and then petted the bird with the same affection he had received. “Reyah, this is Analeigh,” he looked at the Slytherin, “Analeigh this is Reyah, a long time friend of mine. She’s been coming to Hogwarts with me since my first year,” he said with pride, holding out his arm for her to fly off again. She extended her wings and took off back to the pillar where she proceeded to consume her catch, her attention held away from the two students for the time being.
