It was not warm by any means. Of course not, it was the dead of winter. Yet Olivia was determined to go swimming. She had no idea why, it was the urge she'd gotten while in Defense Against The Dark Arts, but she had to feel the water glide along her body, and being submerged.
Liv had skipped Transfiguration to come out here. She'd run to the Slytherin Common Room, putting her white bikini on under her uniform, then walked through the front doors. It was freezing outside, but a quick heating charm helped her stay warm. She was going to need it if she was going swimming out here.
Sneaking down to the Black Lake, she made sure no one could see her before she stripped down to the suit. She knew she wasn't completely naked, yet Liv was still self-conscious. She never liked to show her bare body unless it was in the heat of the moment. Still, everyone was in class, so she stripped.
Putting one toe in, she shivered. Even with the heating charm, the water was still damn freezing. "Mother fuck!" she said aloud as she shivered. Still, she wasn't going to be deterred from swimming. She went further into the lake, swearing the whole while. Then, once she was deep enough, Olivia took a deep breath and went under.
There's nothing quite like being underwater. It was calm, and although she had her eyes shut, Olivia assumed it was calm to the eyes too. After a few moments, she resurfaced, taking a deep breath as the water continued to cascade down her back. She swam in circles, content in the moment for the first time in a long while.
